NEW 2017 TAYLORMADE M2 DRIVER REVIEW
Video Transcription
hi guys it's Rick see us down here at Qwest Golf Academy here at prairie sports village I'm going to be testing the new TaylorMade em - I've just done the m1 go and check out on my channel now it's the m2 turn and these are the new 2017 model of these golf clubs a very very popular club this last year the m2 and I was so surprised I'd be the first one that said I didn't think it was ever going to work then bring it out at m2 so close to it and while I thought oh god they've shot themselves in the foot but they really didn't the performance on it was outrageously brilliant the best players in the world were using it and even players from other manufacturers once they stopped making club started to move to it so what have they done now to make this better what have you done now to make this stand out on top of the original m2 from the bottom it looks unbelievably different to the original m2 but from the top we see a lot of similarities let's draft with the bottom first so for me it looks way more futuristic how much compasso computerize well I was like a bit transformer rest at the bottom there stripped a load of weight down near the toe absolutely loads and almost to a degree where they've left a little bit of a lip underneath the head that using this word geo coup stick which is geometry and acoustic stuck together crazy I know but apparently it's supposed to enhance the sound of this driver is supposed to sound better and louder we'll have to see if that's the case it still got the slot behind the face which is the helping with off-centered hits well what the biggest standout feature of this is the color scheme it's moved away from the kind of gold color scheme and it's gone with what they're calling kinetic green that for me that looks very familiar to color that we've already seen on a different driver that may no longer be being a made I don't know say any names and it might help a lot of those players who are moving to tell them they feel a bit more at home potentially but they could have picked any color in the world but they chose a lime green slash coleye coincidence I'll let you be the judge of that and with the m2 there's not as much adjustability there's our only adjustability in the net you can go up and down two degrees now I've just tested the m1 and I was noticing I think if I went a little bit more loft I think it will get more better results so I've got this driver head it's already at a ten point five head but I've just stripped a bit of loft on it I think I've got this set in nine point seven five the weight is back the head size is gigantic from the top because if still using the carbon / white border on the head which I think looks real I mean I know it looks really cool and a lot of people are still a big fan of that look and they've kept with that which I'm dead happy with and let's give it hit let's see what the numbers say it's no point in it's not talk let's hit so I've got this in my normal shaft this is my ideal of rogue shaft and let's give this a bit of a wallop it is a mega loud wow that was like a lot wild and light almost like higher-pitched than the m1 normally I would say the m2 nirmaan lash it sounded a bit almost a bit dead I quite like the sound but it sounded dead that did not sound dead that sounded really loud now is that a massive change I don't know I don't know you might hear Justin Johnson on the commercial saying oh yeah I love the sound I'm not sure if it makes a huge difference let's go again performance on that wasn't great it's a little bit short and what I'd like to see but I don't think I middled it let's go again that's a lovely girl shot felt great that probably not in the sweetest of sweet spots again I've talked about this in the m1 video you go above the centerline of these drivers and the spin just drops out the sky and it just go for miles they're great performing club off the high side of the face they've both spoon above 2,000 rpm spin I've still got the numbers up on screen from the m1 video this is not much of a direct comparison because I'm going to do that another video but it gives you a bit of an insight of what differences are between the the new m1 and the m2 if the ball stays on the tee for me that's so far not terrible definitely different noise what's louder I just can't get over how loud that actually is it it's deafening compared to the original m1 m2 and and much louder than the original one maybe they didn't have as much I said it in the m1 review the the G acoustic technology in the m1 I don't think they did in this they have and it sounds unreal sounds really loud let's go one let's go a couple more actually don't feel like a quite middle middle middle back there were a little bit low of the head not quite perfect not bad but not as good as I know they could be not quite in the middle just low off the head and performance is showing that as well they're all lower distances not as far as what I'd like to see him doing just need to say it's not that level up they're not terrible but not as good as they could be still considering the strike locations the spin is still ridiculously low considering I'm not hitting that high off the face it's got one more so you can just catch this a little bit higher off the face okay there you go that's the pop a little bit drawee but a definite higher clubface strike to 90 distance a bit hockey 273 Kari 290 probably not doing as well as the n1 for me there didn't seem to give it as much it doesn't sound to me as as nice as the original m2 it sounds a little bit more loud and kind of like shouty and looked behind still looks amazing what could bottom I'm not sure I can't say all of it I can't say I love the bottom of that Club I know you're not hitting the bottom of clubs it shouldn't matter the matter but for me it doesn't doesn't strike me as being really you know what I liked about last them too it's very symmetrical the bottom in the head was super symmetrical you know that big gold way at the back and everything was like just nicely tape it in this doesn't seem like that it feels a bit to me from even looking down at this this looks draw bias now there is a D type of this coming out a draw Tite coming out but that looks a bit draw bias to me the looks on the bottom of the head not showing - got that right there the bottom but I'll let you be the judges of that let's have a look at some numbers so we've got the m2 on the bottom row of that number two seven four carry distance not as good as when there had been one in the right back position might just be the fact that I'm more familiar with the weighting system of the m1 and ball speed was actually up one five nine ball speed which is fast faster than one spin rate was 2000 which actually considering its the weight back position is still pretty good I say very very similar to the m1 with the weight back but for me I just love the m1 more I'm sorry I performed a lot better and it sounded nicer it sounded a little bit more kind of dead that must be more the car but in the end wall there's this for me there's more of a separation between these two drivers this year last year they kind of got quite close together you had the adjustability of the m1 granted but you had the simplicity of the m2 well now I just feel like these have gone a little bit further apart the m1 has become way more adjustable in the way that that track has gone further back and the strip weight here and just look at that and it looks still amazing on the top still not sure about the bottom where m2 they've still got look on the top they've made it super loud honestly really loud and move that weight back still central and but it doesn't look for me as as clean-cut as as smart that's just my opinion on this driver why they brought in this lime green color time will only tell and I hate high on the high on the face potentially I will do you know what I'm and I'm going to do it I've just not got it at the moment it won't be dead soon and M 2 versus M 2 that's going to come soon exactly like the m2 has changed quite a lot away from the original m2 where the m1 probably is a little bit closer to the original and one interesting guys thanks for watching hopefully you enjoyed the video you have click thumbs up comment below what do you think of the new 2017 range then one m2 do you like the old version do you like the new version and if you've got the old version that you tempted to go for the new version are you asking yourself why because that's the question I would ask myself is why change from the existing to this be interesting to see head-to-heads coming soon guys thanks for watching hopefully you enjoyed the video if you have comment below we'll see you next time
NEW TAYLORMADE M2 DRIVER REVIEW
Video Transcription
hi guys it's Rick shields down here at Qwest Goff studio hearing live them and we tested a new tailor-made driver which is called the M to the m2 is here right so quick story for you and Vale the club and you might have already seen images of it but first envelop as soon as I heard them to coming out like many of you probably watching I rolled my eyes thought oh no oh no they're up to their old tricks in fairness to TaylorMade they've been very very good out over the last year they've not brought much out but I want to heard about what the club actually was I let off a sigh of relief I'm explained so the m2 is effectively an m1 just in the m1 family but it's not got adjustable weights brilliant now you might think why and I don't often mention price on reviews I really don't because it's I'm tied with it on the nod with it but I found it difficult to really find the balance this is a cheaper price point than the m1 so when it comes out it will be a cheaper price point than the m1 because it's not as much adjustability it looks identical to an m1 from the top but all you can do is change the loft which to me makes sense because there's a lot of drivers that are missing out on the technology of the m1 because there you know they can't commit to that sort of level of investment which I understand the m2 is coming for a slighter lighter price point it's not got any adjustability of weight the weight poor that's in the head is actually quite far back but parents got quite a sense at CG instead of the weight sliding across the face it's just got the big slot for a speed pocket so off-centered hits is still going to generate lots of speed but it still looks from the top as good as an m1 as good as an m1 and then then one looks good I don't I don't think there's a lot of denying that m1 looks very good from the top with the carbon crown with the white border it looks phenomenal so what the best thing is now is that it comes out version where you can adjust it I can't see performing anything differently to an mm one I like the fact that this is a more effectively it's a more forgiving than one because you can't make the weight go all the way to the front so this is almost like the setup I have in my m1 anyway now I've taken the shaft I've taken my shaft out of my own one and put it in this m2 head from the top I can't tell the difference at all and from the bottom where I have my weight my personal weight in my m1 the way is in this m2 so it's it's the kind of jet speed the arrow burner the what was the other one that we brought out our B Zed it's that kind of Club for the m1 it's a cheaper to slow lower practice point is the best way to explain it but the same materials but it's just not and it's not got adjustability so I don't really need to talk about top of the head I think it looks amazing I think it looks really smart I've got this in 9.75 because I've sent it in a ten and a half degree head so I've lowered the loft the touch let's give it here I can't see it performing anything different to the m1 boom there is I can't imagine this performing anything different to the m1 just in might in my personal opinion I just think it it's got the it's got the security that you're not going to get some golfers moving the weight forward when they don't need to I quite like that about it I can't see performing anything differently it's the same materials it's just not adjustable that's a bit off the bottom of the head now I've been using the m1 for a few months now and it's no secret that I enjoy that driver I like hitting it's a very nice driver it's performing incredibly well when I pick this up straight away after being familiarized with my m1 it felt lighter the only thing I can war in that downturn I'm not seeing any stats on I don't know if it is actually lighter but I would just presume because it's not got the two big weights in the bottom or at least one of them that's not moving the head in when I had the heads off separately it felt why to the m2 felt lighter I have another one don't explain I just wanna I want to touch on something before I finish this video sorry I hit the camera there with the T peg yeah but seriously I mean they're flying machines I love this line of golf clubs I love the m1 and I cannot see why anyone what he wouldn't love the m2 I really don't I see I see that as a as a right marketplace I just write the thing I want to mention before I hit another one the big thing that's grated on me with this golf club is they called it an m2 what's the biggest thing that grated on me because I just think I just think if they would have called it something that still resembled an m1 so they could have called it an m1 faster than one arrow or m1 burner m1 speed whatever it may have been they've just kept it as an m1 Club as well don't think they would have had as much well not sure I'm speculating from what I've what I've currently read on the m2 when people start hearing about it is that they believe it so it's a product that's going to replace the m1 and I understand that because if it's m2 why would it not replace their mod if you would have just tied it in a little bit closer to the m1 with its name don't think that that issue that's my opinion on that because I just think if they would have called this m1 speed or m1 faster and one burner they would have had a better chance of getting into more people's perspective that's just a different m1 it's a non-adjustable m1 or you can change the loft in my opinion anyway let's go one more little bit more uh flying that time but not horrendous at all right guys so having a quick look at the numbers going across the board I call it speed again it's not like the GC the HMT dots on so I probably need to do a little bit more testing on that to get the club head speed 140 165 or 1/6 it's ball speed and the only number that I would see changing compared to this and the m1 from where the weight would be changed is maybe the spin rate and that's about right the tuck the back spin on this is about two and a half thousand rpm so with the weight being a little bit further back it's potentially not as lower spinning as the m1 that you could get it into I know if you go weight forward to the N one you can get it really low spinning and carry distance there on average was 289 and total distance was 311 which is almost identical to where I probably hit my own one in that particular setting with the weight back so I feel as a whole it's it's going to be a good driver because a lot of people are going to want to get their hands on it because of the slightly different price point it looks far it looks like exactly saying the only difference is now showing image on it and the tuned performance little logo here in the bottom corner is gold as opposed to on the m1 it's black that is literally it from the top view that is the only difference whether it is bring this out into a 430 head I'm not sure and maybe a 4:30 head would have the weight more into the front of the head I'm not sure but I don't I don't particularly think you need to and guys thanks for watching hopefully I give you an idea of what the m2 is and how it can potentially suit your game and how it here you might not you might not be interested but thanks for watching the video anyway um it is not an m1 replacement it's to sit alongside of the m1 but it's just not adjustable why why did you call it m2 anyway let's go off that matter thanks watching guys do subscribe do comment down below dragging youbut getting this out and giving it whack I think I like this setting because I already have the weight back it kind of just feels exactly like my own WOD and just maybe a smidgen whiter thanks watching guys appreciate it and the ruler will see you soon I'm going to get the fairway woods and hybrids coming up next
TAYLORMADE M2 2017 DRIVER - MID HANDICAP REVIEW

hi guys it's rick shields down here at Qwest golf academy joined by a rope off the mid handicap tester and we are doing some drivers wind on GC - because the bit of the bad weather outside we were getting blown away when you get some really clear good result for marine sighs welcome loving the t-shirt swinging it best so we've just done tailor-made and one new version was going to go tailor-made and two new version and this review we've changed it slightly taking on some of the feedback we can hit more shots just ten golf shots not going to show every single one of them will show a snippet of some of the shots and then we'll look at the performance the feel and the look to get a rubs rate in our authority and tell them to is the one way it's not adjustable version as a weight court at the back they've taken out this massive section here four different GU sticks different noises you should get off the m1 same top of the golf club that we'd normally see initial looks just initial looks yeah still it's not that what is it's not symmetrical I'm falling like that no I don't know last year's a last-minute read of the default enter the portal really last few people yeah Gnosticism what now it's not Inquisition and to lakhier was super symmetrical and like really beautiful looking so the bottom end of the golf book this year that that whole symmetry of the bottom of the golf club has been lost completely and obviously we know if you flip it open someone might not seeing around and one review between the black and the white what do you think well you you flipping over here we know you're not matter to know how old you are contracting to either surprise we've covered that already on the other one so let's give it a whack we're going to ten golf shots and then we'll have a look at performance we just want a normal Drive raise no outdoor conditions gt2 HMCS we get really clutch duty edge it'll be called you see - HM see if you get really close data we hit real probably one's huge ikkaku cargo shaft Fujiko row shaft two and a half degrees standard done done ten shots and we'll see the sec [Music] [Music] our bubbles the finish may be higher off the face kind of those one high launch low spin but didn't really get any distance so we'll pull up the ten shots and the end to that and then we'll get some rock ratings as well and some decent ones in there that so numbers are in on the 10 shot that we just hit with the TaylorMade m2 and we'll go to the carry difference first we have two to nine carry distance so grant old three yards further than the m1 and that's solely can I be not solely on the fact that you didn't hit that once stinker shot there in the n1 review we have one finger that pulled the averages down a little bit where the bad the were shot with the TaylorMade m2 is nowhere near as bad but the greatest shot didn't quite get to the total distance either and let's have a look at a spin rate mm that's how compared the two clubs you can see and one versus m2 here and this is an average of the ten shots hit by both and we see the end to just creating a little bit more ball speed slightly less launch like the highest bid slightly better carry distance and probably more of a tendency of just moving it fire to the lap the couple miles to Webb the right fails regional high right now into pallet over we're just talking Rob pass at the moment now straight well just say she just changed a little bit which is definitely something going to work on we need a property laughing no we are not gone for a while it's been a while it's not these not only made handicaps after for much longer just look at the club data there just have a look at the differences between the two and if there is any and they'll come back to you to save and pass base everything very very similar there yeah so it's a very good test to compare the two together completely and these two we talked about sorbate cows come home the m1 is just a more adjustable version of it everything's of sense so similar into its elite personally because the DM wall I'm not going to change anything are another change all this slide rule garbage there's no need for exchange outside world torturing us and sort of I believe that and something wrong with you I'm sure you know I'm not using that I'll never use that for anything so I'm gonna get into written straight let's do it it's the sims ii on mom okay backless is concern yet so nine six and four yeah every nine so it's nice for performance six for looks because it looks no difference leon one really apart and just a little bit difference but it's not all about and a four on field grand total of 19 which is exactly what we should see that there's so similar it's untrue and we expect to see that the only thing i blow what do you know if it was ever to fly a difference then we we mention it cuz of times when you were hit in the shop he's good loved it yeah definitely a different noise is it it's not it's not follow screener you just a beep okay yeah it was the decent country Jacob there's also G acoustic seok's critic crap off the Mickey world is amazing absolutely made up word it's crazy it's crazy look empty definitely louder this year than last year's model and this years and one as well it's not the same rating which was expected will not see any difference in performance at all and the looks in the fields back the same we're now going to move into what's going to do Mizuno grenade Wilson that it was great it even a little bombing there now we're going to go straight into the bombs the guys stay tuned grenade review coming soon from Rob hopefully you enjoyed this style test a bit more ten shots we still go through the same ratings but I think we're more educated than our decisions and the ratings today yeah yes all good work that goes over as educators you can get absolutely guys i dodging we'll see you next time
TaylorMade M2 Driver

hi guys my crossword here in my hands today we're going to test the TaylorMade m2 driver Taylor made a quite keen to stress this is not a replacement for the m1 it is an addition to the family let's welcome the new family member m2 let's test it let's get stuck in right so what we get in an m2 we are getting the same carbon composite crown so there is weight being saved in the top in the multi material M but it's being pushed all low and back in this one so where m1 you get the sliding rails that allows you to dial a perfect CG placement into your kind of spin model if you like this one set you up at one so the only adjustability you're going to get on m2 is around the hosel which is going to change loft and lie a little bit which might help you dial in some bull three you still get speed pockets on this one as well for sixty head to be honest when I look down at it from this end it looks identical to m1 and that's what tailor made are stressing is that this is not a replacement it is an addition so what that means is maybe people who have a different genre or different kind of category of buying their products around price this one's going to come in at a different price point much cheaper I would presume because you're not getting all that adjustability people who want to dial in a precise bull flight so you've got to remember with something like m1 weight back to weight forwards going to minute plate spins by about 300 revs so that's 300 revs per minute not much not huge I see people post numbers to me at 4000 spin with their driver and one or any driver is not going to change that that's you but if you don't want to dial into those fine numbers like Lots do so good players and a mixture of players might want to dial in this one's going to give you kind of one set up and you can play with the loth to try maybe hit the right spin as if you like so let's try and hit Sam see what numbers we got we've got G c2 HMT type this pro b1x balls on the floor here like I say putting it down here by the ball it could be M 1 or M 2 it looks fantastic you got to admit this driver as always looked very very good now I've got this set down to an eight degree loft or 8.5 I think it is I've taken two degrees off the 10.5 it comes because when the CG is this far back I need to be around a 98.5 to get my numbers so let's test it and see what we get out of it that one okay fraction on the heel side of CG but it's going to stay on target so that look like it's around the 260 mark so 260 carries we just look at the spin on that one two two two so it's quite an interesting model for me this and M two for me unless you want to really dial in which everyone's going to offer I don't I think this one just makes a lot of sense I just don't get and I get this one I you know at the price that people are talking about it's going to sell for I get it I totally get it but mate oe that one didn't quite come back unfortunately with the toe be interesting if the spin drops on that was it too far on the toe to get the distance a bit shorter was it two five eight carry and that one was spinning at 2090 revs less at pretty much the same 2200 let's give it another hit sounds good it makes a nice sound it's not too loud sits very square down by the ball the white to black looks fantastic like I say it does look really good and it's a pretty big head or big footprint I should say down by the boy so I think will inspire a lot of confidence for golfers hit that one nicely I thought in earliest I lost it almost on the line on a little further a few yards squeezed I did hit that one a bit better I felt yeah 264 spinning at one night if we just bring those averages up I mean that is a good form product to be honest it looks good it feels good I'm getting that spinning averaging to 150 and so that's a weight way back driver on that and I've got to set down at low loft and averaging the 260 you know it's performing as good as anything that I've really hit out there to be honest so for me unless you're someone who's really trying to save those kind of 300 500 revs our spin m2 is going to take a lot of boxes for people a lot it looks good feels good the numbers are really good yeah I get that thanks for watching subscribe to my youtube channel for loads more videos find me on instagram @ Crossfield mark also on twitter at for golf online find me on facebook mark Crossfield thanks for watching post comments as always and see you soon
TaylorMade M2 Driver 2017

right guys Mike Ross hood here at Dawlish were on golf club and in my hands I've got the TaylorMade m2 driver sent from TaylorMade and they're very clear and how unhappy that this is going to be my voice no influence from them so looking forward to hitting the m2 giving you some real-world data and also on the golf course here let's get stuck in so the new m2 has a new speed pocket which they're saying gives more flexibility around the area's you want it's obviously keeping ball speeds up across the face I'd imagine that's trying to do we've got G okuu stick design here on the Sun console so you can see they're taking a bit of the sole away and you get these kind of rib line stiffening and helping with acoustic so it's really like they've removed a part of this club and use their new technology if you like to improve its performance is where they're going to nine-one-one to taenia min this one and six their carbon crown to take a tailor-made as saying and obviously we get the changeable neck as well it's a good-looking club we're going to test it on the course in a second but let's check out those Custom Fit of all numbers that I captured earlier on tailor-mades m2 numbers so in that dry custom fit testing carrying at 260 peaking light at 33 yards spinning at 2/5 so not as low as the old m2 for me it's a slightly high spin model but a nice one in there at 2/5 which is I can get a blanket cover I think more golfers launching at 12.3 helped me launch competing light like say at 33 it's that 260 was my highest went to 267 dropping down to 2 5 8 yards as into five six out at the bottom very good solid numbers from a very good solid club so interesting numbers they're very similar I've seen slightly worse performing than m2 for me last year because the spin is a fraction higher that doesn't mean it's bad because obviously you've got m1 in this one if you want to play with spin numbers as well let's give it a hit on the course looks good down by the ball sits very neutral black face white top to the crown in the black carbon looks great slightly less white again on top of em to so we're going to try and hit it's very narrow fairway with a club that I shouldn't really be hitting off this tee so it's the ultimate accuracy test for it give it a go feels very light this one which I quite like its give it a hit again good flight not really that dissimilar to the lower spinning model I think that's perfect be interesting to see how far up that one's gone can I do two in a row struggle to do it on this fairway with any of the drivers hit two straight runs in a row because it is such a narrow landing spot well that'd be perfect because it's a Healey car which is set up for this hull be interesting to see the distance differences in them because very different strikes on a launch monitor they would produce very different numbers let's get up there and look so m2 Drive you can see I've hit the fairway on both which I'm quite happy with it's very interesting how the Healey cut here to what I would call a knuckleball up there is making very little difference you think about which one's going to go closer on the next shot maybe lots of us for a long time I've been reading far too much into this dry ball data that's why we're doing it on course people's so we've got more room I've got two fairways to aim at here so I'm going to try and send it a little bit more with the m2 I've got this set at a 9.5 which does give me some good numbers like so it does look very good very user-friendly down by the ball it's a big footprint it's a big head shape looking I think it's going to inspire a lot of confidence and it looks like I just think people have picked this out at the shop and love the look of it with tailor-made are good at doing come on then let's see if I can send one yeah that good and that is a flight I love to see they do perform well these clubs that is a good-looking flight doesn't look like it's ballooning in the air it sounds good off the face any better than the old one we'll do some tests as we go on but regardless I think some people get so beat up on the old versus the new because if you've got em to last year and you're watching reviews and idea of buying a new driver the next year after 18 months after thinking there's going to be a massive change there isn't and they try to say there's gotta be changes because that's their job but there's not the all these clubs are controlled guys and girls and I think for people coming into the market looking for a driver people without a driver for a lot longer and want something fresh you have to go and try this it looks good and it sounds good and it gives a nice ball fly I've ripped that slightly more left but that's going to be a good distance that would be called knuckleball if I was on the course it's good let's get up then see how they've come out but I'm liking the look and feel of that so m2 two shots not too bad at all see we've got bounce to take into account here both hitting the fairway and both pretty good distance and not my longest I've done a test on the same hole the same dancing then one maybe check that video out and you can see there is some extra distance to get but I think it's an all kind of friendly game game a ball club for a lot of golfers this one giving some good results on an off the course I could play this if it's an improvement on last year I think is not the question if you think golfer the golf clubs are purely releasing clubs because they're better obviously they feel it is better and it maybe is but there is sales that need to be hit as well in this world and if you all look on a person buying that club or looking at buying that Club the new one every year you're kind of missing the point a little bit good club love the feel of it don't test it follow me on Twitter Facebook Graham snapchat periscope all the normal social places also come and visit my new website mark Russell golf comm NEW 2017 TAYLORMADE M2 DRIVER REVIEW
Video Transcription
well guys here we have tonight at golf central testing out some of the new 2017 tailor-made range so thanks to a teller made out of this Australia for allowing us to do some independent testing reviewing of the new m2 - that one's thoughts as in the look straight away rich Oh yep from the top it's still very similar so doesn't feel quite the same as the m1 will which all have it we'll get to that after we hit some balls but I think that's the interesting part is the sand is quite different but yeah in regards to a spec sort of thing m2 has weight pulled further back and that's why there is a single weight for the back I actually can't tell you what that way it is I might pull it out you never know I might put something up pretty soon but the way has been pulled further back yeah now the speed pocket on the front compared to last year's the 2016 m2 3 times more flexible version activates three times more G oku sticks now it sounds a bit funny it's two words G Oh such a shape sound anyway it's basically this is a recessed area in a tote it's it's sunken a little bit cut a little bit away it's a bit of bracing it sounds different and maybe that's part of the reason what does sound different no from the top point of view 2 percent larger than last year as in as a visual so it's still for 60 CCS yep the white - the black is again a little bit smaller than you idiot washes that yep it certainly is like I said makes it look more classy yeah the the carbon is the same carbon just six lasers at seven yeah it's a bit darker and 7 percent larger face yep and I need all the face I can get I need a good place but guys plenty shaft options three different shaft options you've got the accelerate there in the particular Pro also got the Curt cargo silver series and you also got to be hazardous yellow basically different launch conditions lower mid and there's a lot more as well anyway go on that m2 color wise and interesting colors to the gold judge the good thing is that there's only a little bit of that color yeah so it's not the whole thing and next to nothing on top exactly guys we're gonna hit a few balls before we hit a few we'll hit some more we're gonna talk about the sound the feel and the numbers well guys so here we are back we've hit a few shots and now interesting thing for me the m2 and nine and a half actually launched a little bit lower than the m1 now maybe sharp strike but at the end of the day numbers were a tad lower launched about eleven launched twenty one twenty two hundred spin which is great moving forward very quick tad more ball speed maybes and what we had with the m1 for me but we have hit a few more shots and maybe I'm more warm but either way very very good it doesn't feel too bad but the sound sound is definitely different than the m1 it's got a real bang layouts in look I wouldn't say is the bad sound it's just a loud but it's it's certainly the m1 for sure there is a very different yeah there's a big difference in sound so unless you try to get some close-ups sounds off of both the m1 and the m2 you know of it both these m1 and do you know I wouldn't be surprised if I had a bad day with this I could hear a lot to the right as where I felt the m1 wanted right that's like my film it wanted to go a lot straighter than this I think that for me and it does have that more just abilities so I can send a bit more to the draw and move the weights around yep that's probably won't go and I like the salmon however stand out they're also bringing a tad e-type in pretty much all in a few months time a d-type so it's a draw version of this M - yeah the same technology everywhere else just slow wait more towards a heel actually getting the closure rate a little bit higher yeah so again when that comes out check that out but a lot of Technology into this a lot of visible technology and I think it's a good thing guys TaylorMade don't really make a bad product and I think the biggest thing is you need to go check it out yeah certainly sound just a little bit different but guys it's loud it's bold and that's what the club looks like something like that how do % that's why you need to go ahead and try test and get fit guys that's the only thing that you can do it's a it's your Golf Club not ours that's right guys thanks to you the video like share subscribe we'll see you next time and go check out the new 2017 range of talam aid woods and islands - it
TAYLORMADE M1 DRIVER Vs TAYLORMADE M2 DRIVER
Video Transcription
hi guys it's PGA pro Ric shields here at Qwest golf co in rhythm and it's head-to-head time the brothers are about to go into battle we have got brother number one Taylor made em one driver against brother number two younger brother Taylor made em two driver interesting head-to-head this they look identical from the top there is no different multiple material composite head look identical from the top but it's at the bottom where things that look different m1 has got the T track the track at the front to go draw and fade so it's a phat ball fly it to a degree and the way to the back to go all the way back to hit high all the way low to go low and to reduce the spin to some degree as well because it changes the center of gravity m2 not as fancy as n1 because it doesn't have the tracks it's got the speed pocket which effectively that m1 has got as well where that track is but it's got the speed pocket and the weight is predominantly in the back nine point five degree heads in both of these and that's what I've got them set two identical shafts rogue al dila 70 gram X flex shafts same length this could not be any more equal I'm going to hit real probably ones into fsx I'm going to hit ten with each now this is not just going to be a long drive video different to the long drive videos this is a genuine head-to-head video I'm going to be hitting 10 with each and we will have a look at the end to see what the differences are I've got the GC two dots on as well as sorry the HMT dots as well so I can be able to see everything and to make it again fair I'm going to hit five with one swap over hit five swap over hit 5 drop off with hit five right I'm not going to show you all of those so that would take quite a while I'm going to hit m1 first stay tuned I'll show you a few clips and then we'll have a look at the end of the differences between m1 m2 the brothers in battle let battle commence right the results are in and it makes for very very interesting reading quick summary again I couldn't tell which one was which if that good if that was a blind test I wouldn't have had a clue which one was then one on which one was the m2 the thing is that I know that the m2 has the gold writing along the back as opposed to the kind of silvery writing along the back that's the only way that I could tell from the top you could do this as a blind test if you didn't know that so same shafts same lofts m1 was the weight in the middle and the weight in the middle so there's neutral setting as I can possibly get that driver in m2 you can't do anything with let's have a look at some numbers so I hit 10 with both and I'm keeping all 10 of those in every single golf shot in this is an average m1 is the red m2 is the yellow line and that's that's an average of the 10 that I hit I hit some amazing golf shots I hit some not-so-great golf shots as you would imagine let's have a look at across the board over the 10 ball speed no difference between the two and one M two identical carry distance there was one yard in it carry distance this is average this is the great shots and the bad shots I carried some of them up to near 300 yards I carried some of them just over 275 272 so that's why I've read about that 282 283 mark over the 10 shots with each total distance 302 for both of them identical identical spin rate so you can see the back spin rate there was 2355 with the m1 m2 2332 that's a difference of 20 23 rpm just nothing long tangle was slightly different on the m1 for whatever reason I can't see why they would have been a difference apart from the dynamic loft which if I just throw it into the net screen this is all of the club day type this is all of the club data of the shops so tailor-made and one my club head speed was 114 point 3 M 2 was 114 point 7 no difference the dynamic loft for whatever reason was slightly different between the shots yet my path was almost identical into the ball 6 degrees from the end 7 degrees up or 6 and a half degrees seven degrees off but you can see on the right side the angle of attack and the path and my face was mainly off to the right a little bit on average then a bit lie was the same but for what ever reason the loft was slightly different between the two whether there was just one shot in there that brought the average is down not to show up there the average numbers you can see the top right corner was the strike location m1 m2 and one with the red one and two of the yellow one I would say my optimum strike is slightly above that spot when I hit just above that spot that's when I get my 300 yard carried normally around that mark I wasn't quite hitting that spot for my own diagnosis I would say because I was hitting too far open too far in just a very quick side note on the longest golf shot over the two ball speed was almost identical and one maybe just picked a touch 297 carry the spin rate was super low the strike was higher on the face exactly where I thought it was going to be higher on the face when you get that lower spit very interesting test brothers there should be twins they're not identical granted but they are practically twins in this setting in this setting the m1 may have the advantage because you can move the weight forward move the weight back move the weight towards the toe move the weight towards the heel yes that could have the advantage but if you're looking at medium absolutely everything the same there is not a single bit of difference between these two golf clubs period guys thanks for watching hopefully you enjoyed the video I love that little experiment it's great to see the similarities between the brothers of the don't argue now guys if you aren't brand new to my channel and not seen my content before I would appreciate if you would subscribe got loads of videos on their equipment course videos tips everything that you need to help improve your golf do follow me in all the social media platforms guys get commenting down below I'd love to hear your thoughts m1 vs. them two brothers almost identical guys thanks watching I will see you next time
EXPENSIVE VS CHEAP: Taylormade M6 Vs Taylormade M2 Driver (Review)

guys how are you doing it Simon down here a very snowy white oxford golf center we are still open though and we're still hitting balls test time you guys wanted to see it the other day I made loads of comments so I thought I'd come and hit them I'm gonna put the same shaft in both and we're gonna see cheap more expensive 150 pounds I'd say for Brian um - now m6 about 450 I imagine that's going to come down the m5s come down slightly in prices I last in my review but still a lot of money in between them I'm going to put the hazardous Moksha 6.0 into both heads and just do some numbers do some tests see where we're at with it and get your guys comments firstly which one looks better they're very similar let's be honest they look very similar to each other in terms of just general design shape and everything else the question is will twist face will speed injection be the winner today let's get into the video [Music] [Music] like guys 5 drives with each driver back-to-back I think that was a fairest way to test how far both of these drivers hit the ball that's a very good start we will take that if you're know me and you're familiar with my channel dispersion is not my friend however distance can be I'm not going off these a hundred thousand percent I'm trying to keep the swings as consistent as possible because I can measure club head speed I imagine my club head speed with these blinds at the moment probably one twenty one two two I'm not trying to kill it and this is just my normal swing and trying to find a fairway trying to find the middle I absolutely nothing every single one of these out the middle however with the mo6 not necessarily with the m2 but the results are still surprising so overall good looking drive up have a permit to the m5 it sounds better the m5 and I feel like got about launched than the m5 and if you're a tailor-made fan you're gonna like this driver the face weights and speeding injection I don't know if they do much I couldn't tell as a professional maybe you might um but yeah one-seven-one with ball speed is definitely up there I had high ball speeds with the Cobra definitely my favorite this year in white but I was really going after it club as people have been about 130 so I think if you put these two together they're gonna produce the same results splitting a bit high towards the 3,000 but as I said I've got the has the smoke 6.0 in this and got anything stiffer but I'm just looking for fairways 300 yards carry is more than enough so we've got the numbers here obviously a very exciting name a driver one didn't even change it good work Simon but look at the numbers I mean ball speeds averaging 168 spin ray high mm again you possibly want it low but that's the shaft and yeah there's your distances I know full well that the m2 is probably going to produce this anyway because I've hit em - we've just a regular shaft in it and it's produced similar numbers the key for me is making sure that I'm trying to swing it similar now I what I would say is that m6 definitely feels a lighter with all that carbon and everything that they say if you test it between the head from four years ago to now as soon as I put the end to head in it felt heavier there's no question about it now if that affects club head speed that's a test I haven't done and it imagine it probably would help cupboard speed but I prefer the m6 in terms of waiting with this shaft because with the m6 it felt like a lot more of the weight was in the shaft and in my hands and that's the way I like it when I'm swinging a club the m2 it felt like it was a lot more in the head and that's sometimes where my dispersion goes awry let's say now I did feel the pressure I'm not a robot and I felt like right I need to try and hit this half decently so this is a fair test we produce some shots it was good I mean not as you know I love the m2 is a great looking driver and you see there this was higher off the face and it went further than any of the other ones but that's because the spin rate was so low but there's your bowl Jamal forget your twist face good old-fashioned bulbs and roll out the tow and I thought maybe that was a fluke so then I decided to hit it I toe again but it would have been in the fairway and it's gone a monster other ways weren't even further 30 yards off target hopefully if you're not playing a very tight golf course that is in the fairway tall just down the side of the world overall though in terms of ball speed I think if you put this in a robot I can't see there being much difference in terms of distance this is how the ball doesn't know what it's getting hit by I don't know if it's getting hit by a 400 pound driver or 50 pound driver all it knows is ball speed all it knows is launch angle all it knows it's spin rate if you get the spin rate launch hang on ball to be correct your balls going to go far and as well as dispersion dispersion is key obviously I hit two out of the height oh there I'm still going forward now I felt Simon try and find the middle of the face for once so then I did but an impressively right so I'm not really doing this driver much justice but opal I am showing just the forgiveness of both these drivers this is what they're designed for there's heads as big as they possibly can be as long as they possibly can be and if you do hit a duck hook just like this one you're still going to get laughed at by me anyway let's look at the overall stats dispersion with the twist face is obviously a lot better I felt a lot more comfortable in the hand and I felt the pressure probably with the m2 probably affected me a bit more hence why I'm not on tour but overall if you look at the average of all speeds that we will at the moment and the distance they're virtually the same now I'm not saying that my swing was perfect every single one and consistent however these are marginal gains between the two obviously we're averaged more with the m2 but that's because the spin rate was lower but at the same time 300 pounds between these two drivers tough call to make and that's the only decision that you guys can make at the end so guys there you have it there's my quick video on these two clubs and the numbers that they produce leave a comment below what comparison do you want to see from this year's market against its Priest freed Assessor and I'll be sure to do that so I thank you so much for watching as always leave this video like please subscribe catch you guys there
Final Words
Well there you have it, if you aren't convinced that the M2 is for you by now, then you probably never will!
In our personal option, having used the driver, we feel that the club is super easy to generate club speed and it feels lively and friendly. While some top pros have played with the club, it's amateur friendly too.
Overall we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this driver.
