[Music] hi Alex Forte here the after simple golf today I'm going to show you the hanger it's a really neat training aid that is so simple but it's going to give you the consistency that you want to be able to connect the hands with the golf club and that's going to help you for a multitude of reasons now we want to have pretty much neutral positions you know placements all throughout the swing as soon as there's overcompensation okay granted Dustin Johnson is very bold like this and he can pull the down the club down with amazing accuracy and speed but we're all not Dustin Johnson so we want to make it generally a bit easier for ourselves and this hanger is a new take on actually a real coat hanger which golf coaches have used for a couple of decades now to try and promote a neutral clubface with the hands and create the right hinging action on the backswing and also that on the downswing and through the through swing and all that is this hanger is something tied to the top of the club to the bottom of the grip here with this bar that goes across and this sort of replica clubface that is perfectly aligned with the club head here now all this is doing is giving you immediate feedback you can hit full shots with it and it's going to create placement of where you want your hands to be on the forearm here because we want to maintain constant contact now the first time I actually use this about two weeks ago now I did actually develop a bit of a bruise here because of the speed that I generate I was coming off of that plane and snapping through and I explained a little bit of that of why that occurred but this basically educated me very quickly to get into the right move to the ball and give me the results that I want so it's a great tool and I'm going to walk you through some of the fixes that it can help you with pretty much instantly okay so here we are and I'm going to explain just some of the faults that this can fix now I see a lot of golfers as they're taking the club back their boat they sort of flipping the club on the inside now what that is going to do with this training aid is it's going to because it's touching your forearm at the beginning in this neutral position if I sort of try and whip the club too much you can see that my sort of wrists really sort of protrude out and my elbows get very disconnected so this is going to feel very very awkward but if there was no hanger in place and I could whip it on the inside you might still think that you are in you know a neutral consistent position but because of this you will get immediate feedback that you're not and likewise it will allow you to train to fill the correct angle to hinge those riffs on just by being there feeling that connection all the way through is going to help you on the backswing on the downswing and on the through swing here to be able to extend but maintain contact now as I said we're always trying to go for neutral without too much manipulation and what I see a lot of the time is people hitting at the ball you know really hitting at it and flipping and this you're going to see if I come away from the edge of this hanger here so I'm going to try and hit a shot where I flip I mean that basically force me in completely the wrong position it was a terrible golf shot but I know exactly why I did it because I didn't keep that neutral position and didn't keep turning through keeping that touching on there so let's try another one we're just from that half swing I keep it extending through so that's all I'm thinking about during that swing and likewise as I said earlier I when I first use the club I had a little bit of a problem with bowing the a little bit and coming too steep so I would have this snapping action that was causing a bit too much force here and what also that does with this training aid if I maintain that angle too much you can see that the elbow is just sticking right out and that is just not going to be conducive to consistent golf you can see that there's a lot of manipulation there that does doesn't feel natural however if we allow the hanger to sort of do its job to let the body flow as we would desire you know keeping that touching on the bottom of the forearm here all the way through to extend we're going to be able to get into much more consistent placement not only on the backswing but downswing as well and it's been it going to become very easy for you to understand how the body needs to work together and how those wrists need to work together to get that consistent delivery through the ball and that's it it's a really really effective training aid and I can't recommend it highly enough if you want to learn more about it it's very affordable and it's going to transform your golf swing because it is really helped mine even too so give it a whirl and I can't wait to hear your results Thanks

hey guys today we are reviewing this to hunger training aid so I've actually made things like that over the years I've actually been coat hangers that I'm attached to the club in various ways through cable ties and things like this and I think the brilliant so I'm really excited to try this because it really supports a lot of my thoughts on the swing so quickly attaches top one goes over the very end of the handle right here it's just got a bit of a wing knot which you tighten over the grip bottom one goes over the bottom part of the grip what you'll do then is line the golf club face up to the club I think this is a great asset by the way I've wrinkled it this club face on the hanger itself is really really good because you can actually get it square obviously to the grooves when you're taking the club back you know it's going to be really good little asset I think it's got a lot of positives built into that so use a little bit fiddly but not bad okay so they're now in place okay and we've now got that obviously on the club so what's great about this okay if when we get ourselves set up here obviously I've got the alignment for that clubface sir so if you ever struggle with a one piece take or here you move in your backswing you ever get the club rolling back or if you tend to get it back to closed or you open it too quick this is great club face is so near your handles a reference point absolutely brilliant I really like it from this standpoint get it right here and then what is great is we get this little top of the backswing the hanger goes on the left arm so if you struggle with a lot of cut a lot of open clubface at the top of your backswing this divides to be brilliant because you can use this and feel how it sets on the left arm and that gets the clubface nice and square gets the wrist a lot flatter from that standpoint absolutely fantastic okay what else is great is once you've got this to that top of the backswing right here as you start down you can feel how about hang your stays on the inside of that for which will mean as you deliver it through you can see that the club stays on that forearm and can go left meaning there won't be any flip the bit down that is where I think that this Aid is at its best this is how I came up with my idea for it years and years ago clearly wasn't fast enough to get to market before these guys this has been a really good job way more advanced and than it's an added manager to cheap hangers from Tesco's so what we did is is to get this idea that the Huntley hangar stays on the left arm and it stays on the left arm through impact to post impact here and as the club releases it only just reaches the right forearm if you really struggle with a flip you feel oh it's actually on both forearms at this point this is a disastrous position clubface stop is in a really poor spot right now flip my hands a lot there's gonna give me awful clubs like face control so being able to get it very neutral through here it's going to really really help a lot okay now some all of its praises there's a downside to it in my opinion on the design on this one I would not prefer to import a spike in the end which goes through the end of the grip I think that this bit here is a little bit awkward okay you know for if you've got really quite smallish hands you can just about set it in the grip but it feels like you are obviously holding down the handle anyone with big hands you need to really be aware that the cap at the top of the grip is gonna be on your top of your left hand okay so it feels a little bit all Queen feel like you can't quite pressure the shaft in the same way as you normally would do that aside I think it's absolutely brilliant I love it things got so many great benefit and I really think the short game in the pitching as well something like this could be used a lot because you can use this to make sure that in that backswing you match sternum to the hangar on the way through you've rotated through matching sternum to hangar even in short game if you wanted to get through you can make sure if you want to use the bounce a lot get the handle onto that right forearm on the way through loads of benefits to it some great stuff love this clubface love the design of it overall I think it's a phenomenal product just that bit at the end of the Cape's be aware of particularly it's not big hands you just see the only downside to the product the rest of it is great I'm going to focus on the manufacturer about that I think they're going to probably do something about that in version 2 when it comes out so guys I think this training egg really is very very good it's got a lot of positives to it I like it a lot I will definitely be using this in my teaching I think it's going to have a lot of students games with some particular drills that I think that if you get one of these you wouldn't be disappointed if you really struggle with opening the club facing the backswing and getting that left wrist way to coffee this could be a great tool for you or if you really struggle can and monitoring pressure through the ball and squaring the club once again I think hi my name is Chris man welcome to the five slider in this video we're going to be reviewing the hangar from Watson Gulf explaining what it is and how it could help your game so this training guide is called the hangar and it's from Watson Gulf and I'll pop a few details below the video maybe a link the website and that kind of thing maybe the social media channels let's just start off by saying this is not a paid review I'm not paid being paid to tell you about this it's just something that I saw online I saw a few videos of how it was being used I actually reached out and I actually got a couple of these for free so I didn't pay for these but this is not a paid advertisement however on my channel I have you know over the last couple of months started maybe do a few reviews on products which I think can help golfers improve this is certainly a product I think can help a lot of golfers because it addresses one of the most common faults that I see out there when coaching so I'm going to sort of guess at why it's called the hangar I'm not spoken exactly to the the developers of why this is the case but many golf pros have used coat hangers down the sort of side of the golf club as almost like a makeshift training gate helped a golfer sort of replicates them some news that they want to see in the goals thing so I'm going to guess that that's where this name came from because it is called the hangar but this just does the job a lot lot better so it attaches to the golf club in two places it attaches to the top end of the golf club here attaches to the bottom here and it's just very very simple as just two little tightening screws which allow you to put it in place what I really like about it is once it's on there it's secure it's not going to move you can put a lot of pressure on it and it doesn't really move too much so what did it actually do well for me I see this is having two main real to real main benefits to the golfer and it can often help with two faults that I see we're going to talk about the main one first so what it really does is it helps golfers control what we call their risk conditions now by risk conditions we basically mean how their risks are moving through the golf swing and we're talking about this movement as opposed to any sort of risk set or wrist hinge so we're talking about this movie now when we have our risks set in our golf swing and we have our arms rotated to the right what we do with our wrists basically changes how the clubface angle is positioned through the golfing so effectively we can use our wrists to open the clubface or close the club face now it would not be uncommon to see a golfer who struggles especially those gobs of slice of all of it as week four flights to at some point in their golfing get the clubface far too far open now when you position the hangar on the golf club and there's a few different ways you can position it but there is a clubface that you can see on their plastic clubface which helps you get that pretty much set up when I make my goal Singh if I get the golf club open now that could be opening the takeaway it could be open at the top or more importantly it could be open down here this part of the hangars are the plastic bit that runs from the clubface to the bottom of the club will be between my forearms and I don't feel as any contact between this and either of my forearms now if I try to get this to be in contact with my lead forearm that would have the effect of turning the clubface into ADEs very very different position this would be at delivery point pretty much what we'd like to see it will be very very fraction different for each golf depending on the shot need try and hit I appreciate that but it's going to give you a fantastic way of trying to get that clubface more in position so you can see that that set of if I take my address position with just a little bit of lean forward of the golf club the hangar is not in contact with my lead forearm nor is it in contact with my trail forearm but as I get down to this points in the downswing I can really feel like I'm applying some pressure to the inside of my left forearm I'm doing that by starting to arch or flex my lead wrist and what that is effective doing is controlling the clubface so for the majority of golfers I see who do struggle with an open Club facing slice the ball having a really high weak ball fights and don't strike the ball as well as I'd like what I would really like them to do is feel like by the time they get to the top of their golf swing they have got the hangar on the inside of the left forearm what that's really done it's put my lead wrist in a great decision I can never feel like I maintain that pressure right the way down to last parallel and then as I go through and strike the golf ball it's going to help me even impact position where I've got the handle forward but I've still got the clubface very neutral prophetic squared my target because the hangar is built on the inside of my forearm post-impact we're probably going to start to see it work away from the forearm and as we go through the finish again we're going to find it's probably not in contact with either of those forearms so this is a fantastic way for someone to really sense what it's going to be like to have a very very neutral clubface through the golfing as I said earlier it would not be uncommon for golfers who slice the golf ball to start with a hanger between the forearms and all through that golf swing you can see how it's not in contact with one more arms and often will actually get the hangar in contact with the right floor of an impact because they've got that golf try to square the club face by releasing early handle is back and we get the contact in the right forearm so fantastic little training aid and device for those golfers you really feel they need to work on clubface check out the golfers we play this game fantastic well most them will have very very good risk conditions when they get to this last parallel in the dowsing now the other thing I see it quite useful for is actually achieving a slightly better position at the top especially if those golfers get the club up the clusters across the line now actually did a video you know a couple of weeks ago talking about this position that's off and it's not something we always want to try to change you've depend on how it gets there but very often the golfers who get that Golf Club a little bit inside and the takeaway will often have the club a little across the line at the top and from there as they transition into the downswing there excessively steep this hangar can really help you feel like that club's going to be in a much more desirable position because when I get the club across the line I often find I lose that connection between the hangar on my forearm not always I can still make that contact with the club across the line there's a very strong relationship between the risk conditions and that Club being across the line so if you feel like you're the kind of golfer who gets the club very much inside in the backswing you then tip it over onto this across the line position some thought this can really help because again you can start to feel like it's in concert without leave forearm and you can see how that puts that club in a very much more laid off position and that might be something that you're working on in your goals thing so a couple of uses but I love the simplicity of it to attack takes me a couple of seconds to put onto my golf club and it will retrofit to any of your golf clubs you don't need a specific type of Club you can put on any of your golf clubs to your bag and it's going to give you a great sensation as to how you need to move your wrists better to control the clubface I can guarantee that for many of you who struggle with direction controlling the clubface is going to go what you need to focus on email or video have some other issues in your golfing but very often they're a result of the clubface being out of position so I would certainly recommend this I'm not 100 that sure of the price and I believe it's only available from America I'm not hundred with it sure but as I said at the start I will put some details below the video so you can go and check out the website and have a little bit of a look yourself but I think this is probably one of the best things on the market to help you control those risk conditions and that is ultimately going to help you play some better golf so the hangar from [Music] hi Alex Forte here I'm talking to you about the hangar this training aid is one of the most effective tools I've ever seen in golf and it's worked very effectively for beginners experienced hackers shall we say and also professional golfers because this little device can do so much as far as your wrist control having good impact how the body should move and how everything should stay connected but there is one thing that is a common thread when people start using this training aid and I even made the mistake a little bit myself when I started to use it was that we go full speed we're very eager to be able to hit the perfect goal shots right away but what we're looking for is gradual incremental but effective and efficient progress so that's what I'm going to cover with you today and show you what this does how to use it and how to get the most out of it when you start to use it so let's get to it so now I'm going to show you how to put on the hanger it's a very sturdy little device and it comes with an attachment that goes on the butt end of the club with a clip there and then we have another bit that goes towards the bottom of the grip and this club head here that's more just for like alignment reasons and just for a sense of that the hands are actually connected to the club face it's just it's extended further away so this little feature is very very crucial for what we're trying to accomplish but let's show you how to put this on so I like to put my club just on the thigh here I take both ends of the hanger and I place it on the top now the key obviously is to be able to get everything as a line as straight as possible now you might find especially if it's been in the golf bag a few times that you want to get the lines of straight as possible you might have to adjust it a little bit so on the grip here we will have a little notch like I've got a little marker in the center of the grip and I want to try and line up the the club just the hanger just at the top of the club there now I screw this in we don't have to make it super tight these are just little clips to give us a good bit of grip basically but we don't want to force them too tight as we go around so we just clip that on like so and then the bottom one should have been on there and then we again we try and match that up to the center of the grip and just do the little screw kit Clips there just to make it a little bit tighter now here's the key we want this to be as parallel to the golf shaft as possible so this club had to be as parallel to the bot the real club head as much as we can so let's adjust this a tiny bit so it's always good to be able to see this exactly perpendicular to the shaft now don't worry about making it millimeter perfect because what we're going for here is you know the golf is not a game of perfection as long as it's very close then we're going to get the correct sensation so that's how you install the hang up it's very simple you'll get better at making it straight to every single time and that's how you're going to use it for every single shot that we're going to go through now but I'm going to share with you one of the most common issues that we see when people first start using this wonderful device so the biggest problem we see when people start using a hanger is they're so eager to go to create the the best golf shots and to better hit it the furthest when they first try it they'll be just basically trying to swing far too hard to adjust now bear in mind most swing faults occur because there's a breakdown of unity from the club head to the shaft to the hands to the arms to the elbows and the body and that can form in many different ways it can happen by extending out too much you know here's creating too much room we're checking winging but you can see that by coming off the shaft is going to emphasize that now if we do check it you know we have their elbow going out too much this device is going to really encourage you know that bad movement in a way that you are not going to be able to hit good golf shots because if I try to if make let's say my swing fault was over the top and a bit of a chicken wing like so the shot that I'm going to hit it's not going to be very good because the the hanger does not allow it doesn't force it but it just doesn't allow it so anything might feel particularly awkward with this so bear in mind this is a very instant fix and feel for better golf swings and more connection but we cannot go full pelt straight off the top we have to build up to it and the way we want that to happen is by just starting with some cheap shots see how I'm staying connected here my body is working together with my arm club unit I'm not forcing anything to happen but I can't go straight from there if I'm used to becoming disconnected or if I'm used to flipping or something so we have to build up so I want you to literally when you first get this device practice some chip shots keeping that connection keeping the body working together as one unit and then as we build up you can then go to some pitch shots okay so go to some pitch shots but even with these pitch shots we're not going full speed we're not trying to get the most amount of distance out of them like you normally would we're just trying to build up the swing a little bit to have the connection to be on plane and that correct wrist action to compress the golf ball so I want you to think about doing swings there are about 60% even so even if we're going to about the halfway position just do 60% distance to build up so we go from a chip to a pitch to 60% to get those right sensations that we want for a nice compression golf swing so now you can move on to full shots but only after you've got comfortable with those 60% golf shots it's so important to do it that way otherwise you're wasting your time and you are not going to get the results you want so start off with a chip move on two pitches go on to then half swings but keep them all about 60 70 percent smooth as silk and you will get the best affective benefits from this wonderful training end I hope you enjoyed
