C3i Wedge Official Review
Whether you're a beginner high handicapper or even a low single-digit golfer wouldn't you love to have the confidence of knowing you'll easily get every ball out of the bunker and onto the green every time if you're nodding your head yes then this brand new c3i 65 degree wedge is absolutely the wedge for you with the exclusive auto glide extreme sole the c3i easily cuts through any line the sand or the rough without digging and you'll practically eliminate fat shots and you can do it all without ever having to open up the blade using the advanced new c3 out you'll be able to set up on every shot square and swing it's really that easy [Music] you know the c3 is the real deal just glided right through the sand just like I was hitting off the fairway gives me the confidence knowing yeah I know it's not gonna dig and I know the ball is gonna come out every time I hit it when I line up square it goes right towards the pin every time and I've never hit any cloud from a putter to a driver that I could see the immediate differences in as I did in this club I'm a believer in this club after just a few minutes hitting it out of this bunker do you struggle to get the ball out and close to the hole from the sand do you sometimes leave shots in the bunker or occasionally blade them out but over the green whether you have a high or low handicap if you're inconsistent from the bunker or rough or even the fairway when you're sixty yards and in you can say goodbye to a frustrating short game and say hello to lower scores just by using the brand-new c3i 65 degree wedge the all-new c3i is a true next-generation ultra forgiving wedge design the c3 is award-winning design team built it to do one thing better than any other wedge on the market today get you out of every bunker and onto every green every time finally you'll be able to flop it like phil without being afraid of hitting it fat or thin you'll hit lob shots with ease eliminate miss hits and do it all with the confidence of a seasoned tour player in fact golf laboratories the leader in independent testing in the golf industry compared the new c3i wedge against two of the leading big-name traditional wedges on the market and the winter was clear out of the sand and mimicking a typical amateur swing shots taken with the c3i average 14 yards closer to the hole than shots taken with the traditional wedges not fourteen feet closer fourteen yards closer and you'll never have to open the blade or your stance again with a c3i you just set up square and swing it's that easy so what design features make it the absolute most forgiving wedge you'll ever put in your bag by now most people know that a wedge designed with extreme lock and an extra wide sole generates better performance out of the sand for the typical amateur golfer but the c3 is exclusive all new auto glide Xtreme 2.0 soul takes this performance to an entirely new level it is specifically designed to easily cut through any lie in the sand rough or fairway without skipping or digging even fat shots land just feet from the pin and you never have to open the blade that's right no opening the blade your stance or swinging outside in just set up square and swing it's that simple the sole has an optimized center of gravity inspired by advanced airplane engineering it spreads force across the entire sole of the wedge which allows the c3i to glide through any lie in the sand or the rough like an airplane glides through the air you'll get up and down more often hit the ball closer to the hole and give yourself a lot more easy putts for birdie plus to deliver remarkably consistent direction distance and accuracy the c3 I was designed with an anti rotation clubface this super stable clubface resists opening or closing at impact producing increased performance no matter where you strike the ball on the face stability anti rotation plus a massive ammeter friendly sweet spot mean you'll get out of the bunker rough and fairway and closer to the hole a lot more often than with your current wedge in fact we guarantee it those shots you used to dread wet tight or thin lies even buried shots from the bunker are a breeze with a brand new c3 I the c3 eye also features an ABS badge located directly behind the hitting area providing extra shock absorption and feel the c3 eye looks as good as it feels with its traditional shape and anti-glare black finish the brand-new c3i wedge is not only a technological marvel it's a beauty too to find out how the totally redesigned c3i performs versus traditional wedges we had golfers hit their traditional wedge and then the all-new c3i here's what happened I knew I was a little skeptical myself to take the wedge for the first time in their hands with the auto glide extreme sole I think because of the weight the way it's distributed across the sole they were able to get extraordinary results they were able to be more aggressive they didn't have to swing as hard because the club was doing all the work for them you know when you set up square and you swing it's a pretty easy game James really did a great job I mean you could see with his traditional wedge he left his four shots in the bunker so James chestnut that's not your best you're digging a little too much so I'd like to see what it would be like the c3i to see how you come through and how you improve let's see you've never hit it before it was pretty amazing the first shot he got out pretty nice and then the second shot took the cake it was up high with a lot of spin it actually had like the pro spin on it pop-pop set right there two or three feet from the hole it was extraordinary using the c3i it felt smooth coming through it was a nice easy hit I didn't have to power through the ball this is definitely a club that I'm gonna have in my bag my next game my biggest struggle in golf is anything inside thirty yards I have not tried it wedge that got it out of the bunker as easily as this one did it just glides through the sand and pops it right up I'm a believer in this club after just a few minutes hitting out of this bunker the biggest thing about my game is getting around the green and getting the short shot from from onto the green and and up close to the pin the the first time I hit the flop shot with the c3 I had looked up and the loft on it was perfect it hit and it rolled up almost went into pin the next four shots they were all within six feet of the pin and it was phenomenal I've never felt that a club has improved my game that dramatically has the c3 I it's it's a using I struggle a lot coming out of the bunkers using the c3i every time I hit it when I line up square it goes right towards the pin every time even if I hit a little behind the ball further behind and I would normally do it still glides right through the sand and picks the ball right off the sand it's very consistent I like that this c3i should improve my short game I'd hope tune of being four strokes around try the c3 I wedge if you don't agree it completely revolutionizes your sand play an entire short game will give you your money back guaranteed you'll never have to open the blade or your stance just set up square and swing from any lie in the bunker fairway or rough anywhere from 60 yards and in you'll have confidence knowing you can hit every green every time instantly hit high soft flop shots you've only dreamed about and never leave a shot in the bunker again you'll cut strokes and have more fun on the course we guarantee it [Music] you.
C3i Wedge US Golf TV Review
Hey golfers Troy clunker Bo here with us golf TV I'm the editor-in-chief and today we're going to take another look at some golf equipment that you guys have been seen on the Golf Channel we're here today with the c3i wedge and you guys been paying any attention at all you may have seen mr. 59 the second mr. 59 in PGA Tour history chip back working with the c3i wedge and really talking to the benefits and and the Golf Channel kind of moves through these series where they're working through different clubs you guys have seen the xu1 maybe perhaps you've seen the gx7 we've done videos on both of those and maybe we can link them up somewhere here we'll put them for sure down in the meadow so you guys can check those out too but the c3 IO is kind of the next the next step there and so we we reached out we end up getting our hands on one and we spent the afternoon here chipping around with it we tried out of bunkers we tried out of tight lies thicker thicker lies more grass less grass and we came back some interesting thoughts so first of all I want to talk about the golf club we're going to start from right from the top we're talking about the golf club what it would like to unveil it so we literally unwrapped it today we peeled the plastic off we we you know sought glisten in the Sun and the first thing you notice that we've got the dark chrome the black chrome face now this club if you guys are familiar at all with the XC one wedge it's very very similar in concept with some of the things I talked about here in the feud I'm going to talk about the blade the glide sole but one of major differences I noticed was a dark chrome so if you guys tend to play a lot of golf hopefully you love playing golf in the Sun it's going to give you a little bit of a limited glare which is nice but then it also gives just kind of a softer different appeal to guys who like the dark chrome looks also the first things I noticed we took a look at the shaft the grip it's got a standard it's got a standard looks like it's probably a dynamic 300 shaft cut down it's the same exact length as a 60-degree wedge this has 65 degrees of loft but is the same exact length so it's not going to be anything too abnormal from what you're currently hitting but when you dive into the technology and what it really is trying to do all of the technology lies in what they call an auto glide sole I think with this club they call it the auto glide 2.0 and what that auto glide soul does is it enhances what the core design of a sand wedge is meant to do which is meant to have bounce and help golfers if you're a golfer that when you're chipping when you're hitting out of the bunker when you're hitting out of thick rough that you're really always having trouble with getting the ball to go a consistent distance or you're having trouble getting it out of bad lies this club could really help you out because I want to talk about what they call the auto glide 2.0 sole now this sole is designed in a way that it makes the leading edge when you set the bottom of the club down what's called the bounce we've actually talked about that in a different video it makes the leading edge sit significantly off the ground now I want to talk about a couple of different lies and how that may affect you having that leading edge work in such a unique way so first of all if you're hitting it off of a tight lie let's say you're hitting it off a very short grass or you're hitting it off of dirt or you're hitting it off a very firm sand and the bunker it's not going to be very beneficial for you having that leading edge off the ground due to this bounce that I explained is going to lead to some some very very bad shots it's going to lead to what we call sculling it in the forehead which is not good but what this club is going to help you with is if your hitting off of softer lies maybe it's a sponge your lie in the fairway maybe it's super wet outside maybe the grass is thick maybe the ball sitting up maybe the sand is super fluffy this is going to help golfers escape situations that maybe before took a lot more skill a lot more practice and a lot more finesse and that's because of this blade so when I was working with this club I wouldn't worked out of a bunker and it just got done while snowing yesterday but if the bunkers are really wet which meant they were like packed down but because they were wet they were actually pretty easy to dig out if they weren't dried out hardpan and I was able to really use this bounce and by just taking a normal squared off swing I was able to really get this Club to just effortlessly pop the ball out of the bunker which was awesome now I tried to do some goofy things that out of that bunker shot I tried to open it up I tried to use the bounce a little bit to hit one higher I tried to do a couple different things in the club the club didn't seem to want to really cooperate with me it led to a couple of skulls led to a couple shots that that did not end up on the green and that's because it's so pronounced back here that it's really designed to simplify the short game so when you guys using this club one of the things I want to I want to make sure you guys understand is that you guys need to be hitting this club with a very square stance now square stands would mean that the clubface itself is aimed directly at the target that you've also got your body aimed parallel left you're not opening up your stance you're not opening up your feet that you're pretty squared off because if you do anything where you start to open up and try to lay this club out like a lot of other wedges you're going to run into a lot of inconsistencies unless you're trying to hit a miraculous shot on the stick rough so while also testing out the ctrio edge we want to hit some full swing shots because we know that we're not just hitting wedge shots we're not just using our wedges for one purpose it's not just for typical it's not just our bunker shots we also use wedges to score from 40 60 80 yards out so we went headed from some 75% to 80% wedge shots and we really noticed that this club is first of all it performs pretty well from a full swing we're able to eat the ball fly high and land soft but if you guys are trained at different shots you're not going to be able to really hit it low or you're gonna have a harder time hit the knockdown that's mainly because of the 65 degrees of loft and the way the club set up but as far as the ball flying high getting it to land soft my normal 60-degree actually of a 58 degree the normal full 58 degrees for me is about 90 yards so this club I would say if I was hitting a toy I probably ought to pull up 75 told a lot of it but it's going to go high and both the shots I hit spun really nice so it can be used as well from the fairway for your longer shots to understand that the ball is going to go high and it's going to land pretty soft so make sure you understand you have to fly the ball to the hole location so yeah when you guys are hitting the ball out of the sticker grass out of the rough this bounce the way that it's designed is it's going to lead the leading edge higher off the ground which is going to help you guys not chunk it it's going to help advance the ball out should pop out much easier that's exactly what they market on the commercials you'll see the ball pop out land softer fly higher and that's also why it's got 65 degrees of loft is to help you guys do that now one other thing I wanted to take in I understand this is a brand new club we just unwrapped it today and the grooves are fresh but they've also designed the center of gravity which you as may see it on that website is called Co G the center of gravity is designed in a way to really optimize the spin and I didn't really realize that until I opened it up I hit a couple shots and the ball was literally bounce bounce stop and and after doing some further research I found yeah this club is actually optimized it's actually designed to spin the ball more which if you guys are struggling with keeping the ball on the green if you guys are struggling with putting any spin on the ball whatsoever having a club that's designed to increase your spin around the green it's going to help you guys hold more shots on the green keep some closer pausing and hopefully save some shots while you're playing so that's absolutely something that I noticed and when they market it when they say that's optimized for more spin I'll tell you it it is it's it's fun a lot more for me and that's if you guys you guys use it correctly if you guys are understanding how how this interacts with the turf it's absolutely going to help you so the c3i wedge if you're a golfer that struggles with hitting the ball chunking it sculling it over the greens and you just can't seem to get your short game figured out the c3 I would be a nice addition to your bag now there are a lot of things that if you're trying to develop skill in certain shots this the c3 I might not be a great fit but if you're just looking for a shot that just get me out of the bunker Troy just get me up onto the green get me within 15 feet I want to be able to have a chance to make a par bogey this club could really help alleviate a lot of the struggles that some of you guys are facing every day now at US golf TV we really want to help you guys improve your game beyond just giving you a club that's gonna be a magic fix all we have tons of instruction especially with chipping Todd Kolb our director of instructions done some phenomenal stuff on chipping he's talked about the bounce all the things talk about in this video how a club interacts with the turf and spin he's talked about all this and you guys can use those as further resources to hopefully develop your skills to where you may not need a c3i wedge to advance the ball out of the bunker to do different things so I would really encourage you guys to check those out we've also got a full review of the c3i wedge written on our website and we drove into some more of the specifics later that i'll we guys we can drive you guys to the website so you guys can take a look at this club a little bit more here from chip back the spokesman for the club but we hope you guys enjoyed this do you guys need anything more you guys feel free to leave comments If you are struggling with your short game, and want to see a rapid increase in performance, then the C3i is the perfect club for you. It is great on almost any surface, whether it's from tight lies, the rough or the sand (not so much fluffy sand), the wedge delivers consistent shots time and time again.
If you are a beginner, then we would recommend this wedge - it's flatter sole, higher center of gravity and stable clubface will help you it every short shot with confidence.
