WILSON STAFF FG TOUR WEDGE REVIEW
hi guys here she is down here at Qwest Golf Academy here for a small village and I'm going to review the Wilson FG tour PMP wedge PMP standing for precision Mills performance and this is a wedge I'm excited to review because all of the Wilson quads are tested so far been mega mega impress with so aside this review process couple weeks ago when I was over in Lumina in Spain I wanted to get some feelings around the green chip shots bunker shots and pitch shots and I've come back in here today I'm going to hit someone gt2 here's some 100-yard shots with some 50-yard shots to give some data as well on the full shot spin numbers and let's talk about a wedge first off it's a very classic looking wedge it's very simplified it's because it's got the the big FG tour logo on the on the thick sole of the golf club the Wilson emblem in the back of the head and there's PMP precision mil performance low look back and the precision milled performance is the fact that they've put the grooves inside the grooves so they've got the grooves normally spaced out on the face but in between all the grooves they've got these extra milled grooves Oh quite a lot the way you do that now and but it do look quite smart when I look into a detail it looks like a very rough face the face looks super rough which I think gives a lot of confidence when looking down on the wedge it comes in three finishes it comes in this is just the I think this is just a fasting finish then comes in a blue finish which looks quite cool it's kind of a not as blue as maybe the t7 Mizuno blue but it's quite a nice blue look quite like it again I think it's going to always have risk of fading and it comes in oil come finish and that's more likely to go rusty let's give this thing a hit and we'll talk about in fact let me talk about the feelings I was getting when I was in Lumina so I clipped it for just some tips some pitches and some bunker shots and what we're getting the feels often are getting very soft feel after the script I said I felt like the wedge was a very soft feeling wedge but only okay spin I think you're only getting an old case pin I wasn't getting that grabbed a desire he's quite interesting to see if that's the case event on the full shots here but I wasn't feeling like I was getting as good a spin on the on the con the course test and I didn't feel like when I hit it paired at the same time I've compared all the other web kids and I wasn't seeing it was spinning as much but it's all some full shots I'm hitting probably wand and you start a hundred jobs and then hit some 150 I've only got a 56-degree in this with quite a generous amount about 14 degrees of Bounce that's going to help the club not dig into before and definitely not begin some as much let's give us a head to look nice down the ball so roughness interfacing is the Sun hits it now just really stands out and it does look super rough the face it was really like it's going to look like a thunder paper effect if it's some 100 yard Chuck's first same soft feel I'll get a lumen up feels lovely seeds are there nailed it a little bantam let's go again with another couple synced up 10 yards 15 yards long now okay up 109 I carried that not too far actually felt great off they had super soft feel should be better back at the distance it's grabbing in there nicely I mean interesting see what spin numbers are been averaging with the hundred-yard shots just over 10,000 rpm spin on the wedges I've tested so far let's see if my initial thought on the actual golf course were the same and as they are in here with the spin let's go one more and be a little bit short at it and I'll write over it I'm just going to hit one more and come fall out first shots I feel like 110 yards is going to give very different numbers to the hundred yards out giving so go one more so just get the numbers a little bit closer to a hundred and I'll show you the averages I love that field I can't complain with the field of the wage at all like I look at some spin numbers yeah so just taking out that first shot because it kind of flew a lot further than the others and it feels a little fair if it went that far and spin numbers on average just under ten thousand nine thousand nine hundred and twenty one the best of all is the last one to ten and half thousand and the lowest spinning number there was nine thousand six hundred and that hundred-yard gold shot after that probably five six seven hundred yet rpm too little for this wedge sounds ridiculous because I felt like I foot them well so they shouldn't been that much of a difference but it backs up everything that thought out on the golf course when I was chipping them I was like check check check and it just wasn't quite checking for me yeah it felt delicious it felt lovely off the head but it just wasn't quite stopping as fast as I would like it to have done let's go 50 yards now let's throw some in there at 50 now what I do love about this wedge and I used it a little bit when I was there on the course testing it is that it's got a longer grip very similar to the pink glide original glide the longer grip it's got a couple of notches here down the grip so allow me to almost have a set position where it can put my hand if I want to grip down on the club but it's like I'm gonna do now for this 50-yard shot and then come down to the bottom not on this grip feels like I can control the shot a little bit more it's just a reminder of a consistent place you can put your hands a love that about the club let's go 50 yards came out in high school you can just see out a little bit of runoff and that came out love without as well but it just seems to just carry on a little bit too far the 50 to carry I should have been stopping nearer to 55 total distance there someone with a couple very similar result very similar score one more a two of The Fearless wedged Oliveira clocks and I love the feel I'm just not not convinced about the distinct characteristics flew that one a little bit far further it's got one more there's like fifty Arctic's I feel like I've just blown that a fraction further we need to learn this at like 45 or so for this 50-yard shot let's go on ball you know it's just not grabbing 9 print I'm not impressed with that I want more grubs I want more grub certainly up to testing or what are the wedges today I've been knowing what those Wed what those type of shots do it's just comes our third shot yeah super low spin numbers super low like 5500 rpm we're typically for this shot today with all the wedges even I granted sometimes I've been using more more loft but even when I've been using the 56 5500 that's low it's not gripping at all and it's a shame that because the groove looks like it should grip and the feel is exceptional the look isn't sectional like an act for me I just want that a little bit more confidence that balls going to stop a fraction quicker into the green when I'm hitting it with this wedge I can't get over the field of the field is beautiful it's delicious it as soft as the Callaway forged that's our soft it is it is super soft but the spin is just dreadful it's not seems to be getting the spin numbers that I'd like it at all I was exactly on the golf course and the same here doing the testing guys thanks for watching if you enjoyed the video click thumbs up what do you think about the ft tall do you bothered about you know 500 rpm I've short them as similar as I have it all the wedges today and I purpose have tested all of the wedges now same day so that I was striking at the same and I can compare them as much as I possibly can and that definitely just as soon as I hit that I could just tell the spin wasn't as high and when you see I'm simulating just wasn't stopping anywhere near as quick thanks for watching guys hopefully you enjoyed the video you new to our channel hit up subscribe button it's the big red button down below comment below what do you think about the wedges do you want more spin are you happy not to get a load of spin and leave a like and we'll see that time that's all the way to Istanbul righted I finished the Neto go
Shane Kayes Wilson Harmonized Wedge Club Review
hi I'm Shane kpj professional burnham girlfriends today I'll be reviewing the Wilson harmonized 52 3 wedge so my initial thoughts on this book is I like the finish so I like the answer Claire finish map on the face so when you're addressable you don't get the ground right I also like those named green bounce so it's nice and tight to the ground and it's nice and tight for the floor when you're dressing quite heavy in the head but it'll be perfect and you're just being introduced with a board to have a fire hand because of the weight of the head love's just gonna drop down to impact the face so in summary it's a little heavy in the head when he gives a beautiful off the face it's very stylish with an anti-glare finish and it will fill the gap perfectly between your sand dine and your pitcher much
