Unboxing and Review
hi so this is an unboxing of the skills accelerated Pro cutting mat with ball returned and on the internet before you buy this there is some concern about the quality of this and you know how thick is the mat actually and whether this plastic is really cheap so I'm gonna go through all of that in this review first of all this is all you see that comes in the box so it does come with three of these tracks and I would be because I'm on a hardwood floor I'm not gonna actually use these tracks or maybe I'll just be sticking in one of these but it has these spacers or these connectors here and basically all you do is use you slip it in this slot and you connect all three of the tracks that you see here now let me go through the quality of the plastic now the quality of plastic is really cheap so the best way I could describe it is that if you buy those board games say Trivial Pursuit it comes in those game boxes that's how thin this plastic is so you know that that's actually very true you'll see you'll see this is the type of plastic so let me go and try not trying to show you here let me actually just connect this and I'll show you so when I mentioned that this plastic is as thick as those as as thick as those uh board game plastics you know again you buy Trivial Pursuit it comes with one of those plastic things that holds the cards this is how thick the plastic is it's really very flimsy whether this will last or not it's hard to say so it's not even as thick as the shoeboxes these are more like packaging plastic so again sort of like the board games but also if you've ever bought a hard drive and it comes with the plastic that sort of protects the hard driver that that again is the type of plastic that you yet as far as the mat that the mat is very thick quality matting so this is it feels like felt and and and it is very thick it's like a quarter-inch thick a little bit less than a quarter-inch but but it is very thick and you'll see the backing here now some people actually had what was probably concerned about whether there will be bumps after you've unrolled it so I I didn't have that problem with this one and quite honestly the way they packaged it I don't see that being a problem and especially with this math being so thick that I don't see there being bumps if you actually unrolled it be because there is almost this sort of rubbery backing to it but this thing here you it is very fragile and and it is very you know it look at it you know it's it's it is exactly how I described it this is um you know the boardgame plastic that you you see so so the other thing I want to show you the measurements so let me do that here so the width of this is right here it's about a foot a little bit less than a foot actually and the width of the whole thing is about 15 inches so and if you look at hold that this is the hole so it's actually angled so if if you have a tilt on the floor that sort of like that the balls never gonna go in here so you have to have the floor even either that's pretty even or that it actually has to be slightly angled you know down so that the hole or the ball will flow through that way I'm gonna do a demo of this in another video here I would just want to talk about the quality of the felt now I I have this rolled up and you'll see you know when I unroll it there there's no there's no bumps it may be at the end and in these toilet paper rolls I actually or paper paper towel rolls that they should have used one of these here it doesn't they don't actually roll it up they just roll up the mat to keep it from being you know too bumpy you know as far as having a bump here you see once I flatten it out it looks pretty good and you'll see some areas are raised a little but it really doesn't you know really doesn't affect it too much now people have also said that it's too easy for them and that's actually very true but it but it isn't because these edges are turned in or anything like that it's just easy in general so you know it's just for practice and and you really just have to so so if I roll the ball here it's actually just gonna go in and it's gonna fall in but you know the point of it really is you know you you have to aim for the center so when you're practicing and and you don't aim for the center and it and and you aim here and it actually goes in you you should notice that or you should know that you you should know that you were off aim but it still went in so you know though the point isn't that it goes in the point is that your aim was good and that you should you know practice the aim being more towards the center as possible versus the ball just going in because it went in even though it was all faint so the way this connects is that you know you you stick this slot into this upper slot here so these each of these rails is about 18 inches so you'll notice and see that let me unravel this whole mat here you'll see there's a bump here but once I flatten it out you know it just flattens out and let me let me straighten this out and show you so so you'll see here this is raised a little bit that's raised a little bit but over time that will flatten out so you'll see if I scroll through here there are bumps along the way but that's really it that that's really what I wanted to demonstrate here now if someone steps on this it will just break no doubt about it so but really let me I'm trying to so let me measure this out for you here good good may come in so the mat from from that point let me straighten it out so you'll see there's there's my mat from that point to the edge of the hole here is 101 inches so let me just show you what I'm talking about here so that's so that to the edge of the hole is 101 inches the whole thing itself if I extend this out and to the edge there that's a hundred and ten inches yeah so you'll see so that that's the type of room that you'll need to actually put this on so that's 110 inches and basically as I mentioned before the whole width of this so I have my one foot ruler here and hopefully you can see that so now you could gauge to the size of it or the width of it but there you go that's really it I'll do another demo on how it actually works but that's really it that's the skills accelerator Pro and I hope that alleviates some of your concerns that you had with the madding because you'll see now it already sort of already flattened out and compared to the other brands even though it's very cheap cheaply made the other brands are just as cheaply made so this is this is I guess you could say the best of the worst qualities compared to the other ones so for the price of 50 bucks or 43 dollars at Amazon I guess this is as good as it gets for that price point all right thank you for watching you
so this is the skills accelerator probe cutting mat - and you'll see I'm doing it indoors and I'm gonna be showing this in different tournaments from top left side right side so you'll see here was some of the close-ups I'm gonna miss a couple here so you're gonna see how the ball returns and how the ball reacts so you'll see there it just goes to the side now the if you look at my unboxing video you'll see some of the issues that I had with it so it's not perfect the plastic is very cheap there but just go to my unboxing video to check out some of the comments I had regarding the quality of the product now the green mat is very nice and thick it's a seems like it's felt with a rubber acting so but in any case definitely go to that video and watch that aspect more like a demo of the green in action so whoa is that so probably Sun in my eyes despite being indoors I probably should have wore sunglasses so in any case there's one from the left side and the bowl really works very well on hardwood floor I've seen some people demo it and it seems to work fine also but the ball returns so you'll see I only put one of the rails here for the ball return and it comes with three of those but for me I only need one because you know it doesn't take much for me to actually grab it while it's rolling down straight where I can get it so here's an angle from the back and you could see it's very smooth it really does have a good feel to it it's very accurate so there I took two three tries so one things I don't like about it is the actual guides surprisingly the guy is are somewhat annoying being because if you don't want to shoot something from the center it's sort of easy to over time yeah you want to be good at aiming from the center but if you want to shoot something from the side so that you don't have a use of the guides all the time it is somewhat distracting and maybe that's a good thing maybe that's a bad thing but I find they print on the read a little bit annoying over time so but any case hope this helps in your decision-making and thank you for watching yikes alright so there's a Miss there and
Review And How To Practice With It
open putter face closed putter face it's all irrelevant unless you have a putter face Square to the path you're producing I'm going to show you how to get that with one key training aid skills accelerator pearl putty minute just to be clear this is not a paid endorsement I have zero affiliate links I just want to go over this again because my previous one was filmed on my iPad now I got a better camera skills accelerator putty skills accelerator Pro cutting mat awesome stuff it's gonna help you with your face and Pat and help you combine it make more putts make you an awesome putter inside 10 feet let's take a look nice box nice do this as quick as I can here all we're gonna do is just assemble this ball or turn really quick and attach it that'll help that practice go by a lot faster done that's as fast as it took I'm gonna flatten this out though and do a few putts for you and kind of explain what's going on here how you can use this to your advantage thank you alright what you're gonna notice is numbers on each of one of these and I'll bring it over to you in a little in a couple seconds here but I just want to show you the advantage that this has this is the three-foot spot and I'm just going to kind of pan the camera over these are probably your most missed putts that I've seen statistically I mean you guys can probably research and see which putts are best the most but I what I noticed a lot at our 3 3 feet and all the way up to 5 or 7 feet which is perfect for this mat and for your practice are probably the most missed putts so what I'm going to do is I'm going to set this ball right on that three foot spot I'm gonna place that arrow right down the center so that is going to be your acceleration line you want to come back to this area if you don't it's okay if you miss at first here is the the key part right here inside this can represent your path and in the path that you want the ball to roll on but the key factors these two lines right here will help you square the club face at address which is your aim and also help with your clubface and impact and this is great so I'm going to take this pink putter here and I'm gonna line this line very important with that ball here and all I'm gonna do is I'm gonna make this putt really quick here and show you and notice how I have the clubface square to those two lines I want to make sure they're visible so I can see them I'm gonna go back and through now your follow-through may be a little different at first but what you're going to notice is this is going to train you to keep the clubface square and accelerate through and here's how they make you do that these squares are really small and these squares get bigger and bigger and bigger which simulate an acceleration through use that to your advantage here's a great down the line view I've got the 3 foot and the 5 foot I'm gonna still kind of unrolled it too good yet let it sit too long but I'm gonna do the 3 foot and kind of give you a simulation of what you want it to look like when you putt only 9 so it goes to those in there look at that ball return three pieces what I put together earlier took no time I'm gonna put this right on the 5 foot mark and I'm just gonna repeat the exact same thing and the key is it's almost like cheating when you're doing this that's why in my previous video I had you know I made all 12 in a row for me it's like cheating because I you know 8 months out of the year about three to five times a week I'm doing 500 putts so it's going to go into show and it's gonna be a lot easier on this follow return I'll do one more three footer put it right in there nothing to it skills accelerator Pro putty man I got that right great little puting training aid I can't tell you how much that helps if and only if you do it consistently three days a week four days a week but make sure and you're gonna notice when you get out onto the course you're gonna make a lot more putts believe me I promise you only if you put in the effort to help yourself thanks for watching
Review by KellyKing_PGA
hi there PGA professional Kelly King coming at you I have a skills accelerator Pearl Pony math and basically going to show you how I use it in the Middle Atlantic PGA I was 48th and Player of the Year points and moved up inside the top 20 just by purchasing one of these and really dedicate myself to it but what you notice is it gives you a dot at three feet five feet and seven feet and basically teaches you to master those short putts before you go to the longer putts the best advantage is it gives you really good face awareness as far as where the clubface is lined up and if I walk up to the seventh foot it's going to be these two lines right here so I'm gonna walk up and I'm going to basically hit one from each one and give you an idea and all I'm doing literally is focusing because I've worked on getting my eyes above the ball and posture but I'm focusing in on that clubface and using those lines to my advantage while I have this here so you may see cutting across this or that but if I have the clubface square to the putter you're gonna make those shots pretty much every single time in idea and this is just repetition after repetition I mean I've gone up to 600 the rope I mean you may call me out on that one and if you want me to make a video on it I could sew and I alternate and I don't go 100 or 600 I'll go 25 25 25 and then go back to 3 feet go 3 feet 5 feet now rotate it just to keep it fresh but when you're putting in that many reps you're gonna start making more putts and the best investment you can make is time and practice so just by going through there that's the the skills accelerator Pro cutting mat latest version
