CALLAWAY APEX IRONS 19
doing around there damn I've got a Callaway apex forged a time so this is the 2019 APEC yeah we're gonna test these on the course we've also got some tribal members as well as well as taking a close look at what Callaway say about the tech I'm mark Ross well this is Dan and Jackson it's cold it talking Golf Club let's get stuck in [Music] right so we've got a half set in this got four six eight pitching wedge we've brought our putters yeah we can play for y'all's manufacturer if we have to do yeah let's see who wins first initial feelings of the looks of that bat actually a really nice looking head I love this sort of chrome shiny chrome - then maybe off chrome at the top they're sort of more matte finish at the top yeah slightly thicker top-line but not too intrusive for me yeah little to no offset I would say on that with the 8-iron and be down by the border so look at him you know it's not massive which is what you would expect from an eight I might start to see maybe some a little bit more offset when you move into the six I'm in the forum but we'll look at those in a minute yeah yeah first looks lovely so this obviously is a performance iron slightly stronger laughs yes we're going to see what Callaway say about it in a second well just hit these tee shots and we're going to look at the tech but what apex always seem to do quite well I think is produce that kind of stronger iron in a pretty good-looking package does look good for something that is really jacked in lofts and meant to help you with all its design one for eight we've got you in a standard dawn then I think it's cold enough yeah I feel I need to hit that fall to get there it's close to seven iron lofts mind now it's got a little bit a new year tugging going on nice and early bit long at the left but pin is the green yeah yeah oh we have gloss Sam where's okay fun how's it looking it's like you say it's a medium to thick a top edge yeah that's obviously I'm using blade but very good looking for what it is when rounded it is rounded isn't it which I don't mind like you say next to no offset I always love their finish between Chrome and math I think they can do it really really well Sound City I'm always like their black colorway as well I'm a big Missoula fan but when I love the blue but I just I just like black and silver looks good you know what I mean good is that sure sure all right like they sounded a bit clicky yeah let's fight it well for the strike I didn't feel for others apart from where I kind of found it on the face when work pretty much what I wanted with a little bit kind of did everything I wanted it let's try get better look at that let's see what Callaway say about them shall we yeah Callaway apex it's a forge distance iron which is what Callaway is saying so that combination of Forge softer feel but in the same ideas in everything you design they're looking for distance forge 10:25 mild steel but you also get this kind of plastic urethane back that's being put into the club to try and make sure we get the right sound and feel that you want from this distance iron 360 Cup face so a channel that's carved out from all around the face which we've seen in many generations now of Callaway irons again trying to keep that distance up really trying to help those off centre hits saving weight where you don't really need it and trying to position it in positions where you might get a little bit more help from it also it's got a tungsten infused material all the clubs have which is allowing them to position and move C G's into optimum places give you the desired bulk like so if you imagine your three iron if you have one or four iron you ain't gonna want the same kind of character so it's in flight that you get from your nine iron so they're gonna move CG around with those ideas to try and make sure they're giving you optimum flights to get the most and the most consistent shot out of each iron and callaway are saying it's a craftsmanship kind of eye and it's beautiful when everything they're trying to do with this eye and even though it's a distance I do want to appeal to people who want a certain look on a golf club alright Dan is just missed the bank are chipping up so we've only got the pitching wedge for this I'm in that bunker over there so I'm going to be funking less I caught on the slope going after manufacture with the pitching wedge both gone pretty much same distance of me you pop this up alright you're going to twist that loft on this one I think I'm gonna have to it's all running away yeah yeah a little bit I'm not actually in the bunker it's oh no DUP little firm yeah that was not really the club all the shot good height oh no well this will be fun yeah I mean them wedges I love the shape isn't it I agree I think it's a nice round so they all right yeah it's not big as it sure it's the right club for a quite medium to deep bitch bunker shot gee whiz what am I doing here we go played it really well good shot so I get a lot done it is very good sad truth is I don't get it much closer than that when I've got my specialist wedges we're all down to a bit of padding again it's a free whole challenge we've got some real data as well present that so you can see the dryness of the data [Applause] yeah pick that up give you that one I guess we pay match-play are we just case everyone else anyone has a head off this to go one up indeed how did it feel coming out the trap all right breakfast yeah oh here we go again that is a power shock well done you what the new one up though I can see it so you're all going to like to look at that now obviously that offset is in there's a godown in loft do you need a bit more help net to try and offer it still offers the same good looks for like top lines and colorings and those kind of things yeah get one down around the corner pin it from the mat with the Gulf like you all plan but I know I don't mind the offset but I can see why that would help and upset some people for a table there are this around the corner I came out of yeah shake you might have to shake that next shot straight about these solid hai Tao yeah I'm looking forward to you putting that down by mister offset huh come on all right put it down there by that ball show a set what are you leave it there what are you thinking of that you just see roads thank you when you see that you're just you're just hearing that road but I mean as a Chang keep our Ryan goes and there's chunkier obviously I think it looks good it's absolutely fine I think what they've done well to be honest yeah is where they've kind of got the different colors in the chrome they're the matte matte finish on the face yeah it actually pulls my eye away from the offset bit okay yes it's just me pulling you back to it pulling my eyes again yeah well the lost are stronger on this club yes good nice and straight they'll be at the bottom obviously you got the 360 Cup faces we saw from Callaway on this which is seen in a few clubs both of those slightly off-center hits and that's obviously all there to try and help you as much as possible how much it's helping it's very hard to measure but if it is I'm happy for it to be there yeah and then CG placements through the infused tungsten I think they called it which so obviously allows them to get the flights that you desire from the different loss because you're gonna need more help than for I know I said thickest re-edition but and even just for that one shot there how much higher that flew yeah which is not where I would normally look with a 4-iron and then they yeah that's quite nice yeah absolutely let's have a look at the indoor numbers and come back and finish this massive right let's look at the numbers sharee 6-iron in the apex 19 we've got the six ounce pin numbers at 5,000 revs on an average sort of fluctuating a little bit from sort of four seven four four four actually going up to five eight I want to try and get my six iron as close to 6,000 spin as I possibly can peak height 33 yards high and then carry of 180 so that's quite strong for a 6-iron for me I'm sort of around this 175 ish mark 170 175 of my own so getting it up 180 on an average again fluctuating from 175 up to 187 that's a big one there for me for that so very strong but what's the loft on that 26 degrees so so it's a strong six I'd damned it the fairway someone's done him down there if a club he doesn't even use a four iron you play a four iron don't you dad I've done you by ten what have you got into the flag some bang of the six in it because it's a fie yeah I don't you mean can't it floor again can you surely winter rolls yeah I'm not on the fairway I'm gonna have to shape - around you bang this on the green I reckon you're all square but I'm gonna have to move mine out of the rough so you've got the six yeah the six looking down again it's a lovely looking head it's this doesn't it is off so I can see that I see it like the balls but it's not again it's not I'm feeling it bothering me too much at all it's a slightly thicker top-line but again I think it comes to the colouring I think that sort of dilutes it slightly apex has always been one of my favorite but if I had to use chunkier irons I would be close to these most of the time and I could see a lot of players moving from you know when they let's say they played a lot of golf in their youth and then they want they were using movie blades or you know sort of thinner top-line I could see them moving more into something like this the sort of thing psychologically every give them a little bit more help yeah are still the nicer-looking Club you know definitely all right let's see what you got and your one down [Music] oh you're right it was a proper gang oh you doing there just shows hang on this has got 360 cut place how did that not work Blair always override I don't even hit the groom no he was below the ground well test every bit of that glove down right you got some trees too and what are you going with I love 7/7 no yeah you're happy with that one that face has never been hit part from inside yeah [Applause] good-looking cutsie shot in there things see it through this how is it yeah I mean so many moving parts it's cold stamp coming out the rough I'm scared of a flyer I know this is a Louis spinning club we've seen the numbers you know it it booms from a little bit less spin I'm just constantly doing all the maps in my head you'd need obviously I'm playing a complete opposite club to this in a blade where I can trust all the numbers I know wouldn't stop me gaming this if I had to I prefer the bladed option but as cavity back bit way off the back heel and toe I don't know this is going to be up there with the best of them for me isn't it you can get one in the area then are you gonna keep them off you go get up sit downs in the bunker with the wedge again but plenty of green to work with does run away from you he just got smash it out and I'll be fine I am free putter ball right down it but but the front didn't add enough it was the club see what Dan's got with a wedge from the bunker stabbed it forwards got a bad effort Dan not about it but at all yeah you will be happy with to it's all downhill coming off these left downsides are coming off our right side here my right hand is still hurting that's good come on go on all you left yourself a bit of a tester there and the flag in now and then put it in that will be a fun game that would be hard yowee dumb way look at that fly he's gonna go square down the last me he's such a fighter imagine how much now good that feel I always pushed it all square no one saw that coming no one saw that coming and a little sad save as well thank you he comes with the honor that was a right flipper Rooney's than that so could you game these clubs down could I gain these clubs here our phrase it different you have to use this bracket of club to use this bracket club I could definitely gain these clubs yeah definitely so obviously I'm aware that you might have other clubs you prefer yeah but if you had to use this bracket so it had to be slightly stronger lofted helping yeah that kind of performance distance iron as they call it yeah in the mix of all the companies this is one that would stand up absolutely right yeah and I think it's more the fact that it's the shape of it it's not too big as it yeah you know it's not too clumpy it's still got that nice sort of nice top-line great finish on it yeah there's only one part of it that kind of puts me off a little bit but you know I could definitely gain at them what yeah does have you got for the last hole then one square m55 so I can't reach is that we same stands chosen this one lovely that was a half anyone was wondering on the last that was a half and down it a ball head height it's just a nice one for you and that drawing in about yeah bit too much or good yeah good shot right yeah take that very good I can't reach you it that quite hard didn't you dad its choice mate yeah I think you can I think you can maneuver it is nice fresh it's fresh yeah get back in that sunshine [Applause] [Applause] Oh with a little bit little bit clean front edge it's down to puting again yeah go on custom shop so there he is the front edge there's me just a little bit short I thought I managed to get it pin i but it's it is he's got a tough to putt here let's get in nursery oh my word he's gonna be emotional if he doesn't win this one he's gonna be emotional all right two putts might be good enough the Danny Boy they say I'm good it didn't get it back there yeah I didn't really pick the right yard as their way two putts might be enough though yeah pick it up down that's good enough that's good enough this is what it's come down to a single putt it's amazing all these reviews we do we're always the last bits puting two free putts to lose it there it is I love these games love these games Thank You cat kept me in that yeah I really like them actually I think they got a great feel of the face you know job is a massive improvement on what's come before but if you've got a set of these already I would stick with them personally but you'd be looking at new ones and you want a bit out I agree yeah don't test that definitely testing [Music]
Callaway Apex Irons 2019 review Average Golfer
[Music] [Applause] [Music] right thank you for joining the average golfer and we're gonna look at a very interesting set of well two ions from Callaway's released for 2019 we're gonna look at the apex and the apex Pro cf-19 models and I have to say they're absolutely stunning sets of iron's let's start off with that claim statement rather before we go any further but they might look good but how do they perform and that's the interesting bit and I went out there on the course and I've also collected dry born data to try and establish these things performed well in the hands of the average golfer and what the differences were between the two sets as well but before we do that let me throw some images up on screen and let you have a little look in terms of aesthetics and what you think of the two and is the apex probe first of all as you can see high chrome finish forged head a little bit of math behind the ball minimalistic in its markings and I don't know about you but that absolutely is and I catch it it looks at belting cloth for my eye at least I'll throw up the apex standard product now for you matte finish on this it is not as nice it is a stunning looking Club but I've got to say I'm always drawn towards the high chrome finish I wish they'd really done that with this standard model as well there's a little black rubber elements or suppose you might call it insert in the back there but still a very very classy looking iron like you said I wish they'd have made them both high chrome finish to be honest with you but anyway that's just a very much a personal opinion but classy in its locks and these are two different ions only slightly difference so players distant EIN I think you might categorize the standard apex product and then you've got the ultimate sort of player's performance iron in the apex Pro an interesting thing is there is a combination set of both these two so once again you can go I think through to seven iron in the suit of the three I in the apex standard and then in the shorter irons due to the wedges you can set yourself up with the apex Pro so there's plenty a logic in there as well but what are they done what they packed into these two in terms of technology as ever these expect from a calorie product well this is I'm gonna throw this image on screen for you now and this is the first thing we're going to look at at 10:25 forged carbon steel body urethane microspheres which we'll talk about mi MT tungsten waiting spin control vft and 360 cup face well first of all anybody loves a forged field then they've made a forged body on this club this urethane microspheres is an interesting one for me so what they've done again we've seen this in the in the Big Bertha product as well the release recently in the ions is placed and elements of material microspheres you're a same microspheres thousands of air bubbles within this product which again dampen unwanted vibration now I've seen it in the in the in the big birth rounds and once again I've seen it here it really does have an impact on feel without any shadow of a doubt it is a massive massive important for for increase in terms of the performance level in that elements of these ions and I really did like that 360 cup face technology which you've seen before it's promotes high ball speeds and it's something that they've brought into this apex set of ions and we'll see in terms of dry ball data how much impact that has on the product itself and then we've got the tungsten weighting and again tungsten weighting very much support in the exact position and location that they want it to be in to enhance performance in terms of the day different ions on what you would be looking for from the longer islands compared to that of the shorter ions and then this VST spin control which is something that has often been a problem with and these are far from game improvement irons but the minute you saw the port sort of performance enhancing fastball speeds off the face then you're losing elements of perhaps spin the VST spin control has paid some concentration to that element and again introduce technologies to try and bring that spin number to where you'd want it to be certainly in those shorter irons and when you go to the pro model it's very much almost exactly the same story but built into a smaller more compact head and again they change the 360 cup face technology from it appears in the longer irons but they change that from 7-iron I think is or 8-iron actually 8-iron down to the wedges the face is changed it's not all about ball speeds they're not all about maximum ball speed they're looking at more distance control the right spin number the things that you'll be looking for as a player's eye and I suppose in those shorter at scoring irons so that's the only real difference I can see between the two in terms of the technology because they really offer this type of iron put on a lot of technology into those clubs so what happened when I went out there on the course and that was the first bit was to see what these things did and what will I start with I'm debating on where have eight on how how much praise to give these things from now said do we do is a slow build or do we just go in and tell you how it is I'm just going to go in and tell you how it is I think a lot of people going to like these clubs fans of the apex range are gonna absolutely adore these clubs because what they've done is they took the apex model and they've ramped it up massively in my opinion first of all let's call the apex Pro in terms of sound and field they've produced the iron that it's been going towards its way for a long time where they're producing players ions with Fergie in us with fantastic sound and feel once again these urethane microspheres that are packed into this 1025 head produced an awesome sound awesome feel it is so soft in the apex Pro it smartly it is different in the standard product it's not as buttery soft that you're feeling the apex pro as you'd expect having said that it's marginal because the feel in the standard product standard apex product is again really really nice they differ in terms of what you'd expect in terms of size and the compactness of the design is notably small on a pro design boy having said that the performance because we've got the performance out of both products and never really was put off by the smaller design but I only had it in a 7-iron it may be a 4-iron which I had in the apex standard if I add that in the apex Pro maybe I start to get a little bit scared of the product and the combo set seems to be an almost ideal scenario in my mind but a little perform really really well distance was very very similar difference in loss in these two products but for me not a huge difference in terms of performance what I seen out there to be quite honest with you in both of these probably half a club difference if anything but then into the driving range of for golf Chester and we started this in some balls to try and get some dry ball dates to back that up and this is what we came up with and the first set of numbers we'll start off with is with the pro version so pro version at 7-iron 108 ball speed on average so again that's what you'd expect from this kind of product 22.4 arguably launching a little bit too high for me 5/8 pin fantastic spin on a number of balls over six thousand you will know people who watch the channel I don't achieve a great spin number and that is bang on the button really really good for me and 150 carry at the performance of it was as you'd expect from traditional off and very very consistent indeed I'll throw out the now the stat the apex standard product a lot faster in terms of ball speed and again the stronger loft on this will have something to do with that 113 I'll have rich put balls up there 116 117 balls be a better ball fight with it for me but again that would be the stronger loft 20.8 can you believe the spin number I mean six to spin for me with a seven a and a number of balls over six thousand in terms of spin it's never seen from me and it's certainly never seen from me from an iron of this type 34 PK 157 overall and I'm going to finish off with one of the set of numbers because he also had the apex standard in a four iron 120 ball speed 16.1 launched to eight spin and 188 on average in terms of distance I was leaning over there reading off a computer as you can probably tell and like I said the interesting thing for me there probably was the floor iron the forum was just easy to with almost as a 7 iron slightly longer shaft as you'd expect so a little bit lost in control or harder to control that club head but feel in the 4 iron was a great way to judge this whole set really it was like a said very very good feel as easy to use as the 4 iron the thing is with all these irons for me is that we're reaching a position where the sort of players iron as the apex Pro is is no longer the players iron has what we normally associated it with in my opinion yes they're small in their profile but they're packed full of technology which is making them a lot different and describe that it's it's not a traditional blade there's a bit of muscle back in there but in terms of its overall profile and size it's very similar to traditional blade and the performance out of it is so so different and a consistency of performance is so so different as well for someone like me at my level to perform as I am doing with these clubs finding that sweet spot consistent performance consistent distance absolutely superb the issue I have is that when you use the apex standard product slightly bulk you're in size but only slightly and then when you get down to the four and a four again the confidence-inspiring the fact that that ball is flying out there the fact that this the feel is so good is that's when for me I wouldn't necessarily go to the apex pros at my level because I don't think why bother it's the ultimate thing for me why bother when there's the apex standard product which is so nice and feel so good in performance that for me the idea would be Apex standard product and then maybe this combo set in the shorter Ironside locker because blown away by performance blown away by the feel blown away by consistency blown away by the ions are honestly really really impressed it's where I've been wanting to see for a long long time is this this set of ions that like I said packs all those things that technology offer generally in a bigger bulkier club to help average golfers like me packed into a smaller compact iron which is what really I like in terms of on the eye in terms of the profile and they've done it in abundance honestly is I can't speak at both of the sets are absolutely superb how do you knock them how do you do a review and knock a set of ions like that ace very very difficult to pick fault and for that reason I'm not going to so more importantly as ever that's my opinion maybe I got lucky you go out there try them yourselves and come back and comment on this video because for me Callaway have come up with an absolute belt in range for 2019 they really have and I can't see anybody trying any of these products and being disappointed at honesty cards anyway thank you for watching thumbs up if you liked the video comments down below I'll do my best to reply thank you as ever for watching and enjoy 2019 [Music]
CALLAWAY APEX FORGED 2019 IRONS
so far in 2019 for Callaway the epic flush driver has taken all the headlines what about these the Callaway apex forged ions let's do it and let's do it now [Music] [Music] hi everyone James Robinson here if you new here and this is your very first time watching my content first of all welcome and second of all make sure you hit that subscribe button on this channel I bring you guys daily golf related content to help you raise your game lower your handicap just enjoy golf a little bit more in today's video I have the Callaway apex Paul Stine's they look unbelievable I've already been out and played with these ions on the golf course and let me tell you they don't feel far behind how they look I've been out there and played with the 4 and the 6 and the 18 and the pitching wedge and let me tell you they feel fantastic I also took out the callaway apex pro ions now I was going to do just one video on these irons but to be honest after playing with both of them I feel like the both deserve the wrong with you and then I'll do another video comparing them so if you want to see that make sure you hit that subscribe button boil so keep it's a technology behind these cause you have a 360 Cup face that's designed to promote more ball speed off centex and just generally ball speed in general we also have tungsten waiting in these clubs but get this the tungsten in each iron is located in a different area ever so slightly it may be a different amount it may be a different size so you get the most performance out of that iron that you can possibly get Wow sounds pretty impressive I'm going to hit you a bunch of shots with the a I'm the six out in the for round we're going to talk through the numbers somewhere do it now Wow now interesting that when I went out on the golf course and played with these islands this morning I could not believe how small and sleek they looked the blade length it looks so short for such a powerful iron such a forgiving iron I can't quite believe it's as powerful as it is absolutely a finish on these clubs I think absolutely fantastic aircon system so just moving up through the set to the six iron now I'm going to hit the four iron after this you start to see a little bit more offset on here so for people who do miss the ball right these are going to be for you however when I took these out on the course this morning I did a mail order to write on a few walls especially with before I am thinking the offset would bring it back but it didn't it went absolutely aerostream these things sound incredible now a big part of technology that's gone into these clubs is the variable face thickness on a lot of power lines at the moment you see in really thin faces you see in low launch angles you see in low spin these are designed to battle that the vft is there to put more spin on the clubs where you want it and less spin on the clubs where you don't so you get that optimum spin rate for the club you trying to hit but does it work guess we'll find out well me I must up now look the idea of more technology going to each club rather than just being a set of islands with the same technology because you're wanting different things from different islands aren't you all right I'm anyway something which is really obvious here is that the designers of these clubs have tried to stay traditional we've tried to stay traditional to the apex roots that these aliens don't look all singing all dancing yet technology-wise a kind of art ok let's go for a and now even more offset and you can actually start to see now you can start to see the cavity behind the head which I'm I'm never a massive fan of but takes all sorts doesn't it possible to marry a long name ok guys so they repeat your five shots with the Callaway apex for n6i on 8-iron very very very powerful but let's see just how powerful let's take a look at those numbers okay guys Callaway 2019 apex let's start with the four iron distances how consistent is that apart from that last one that kind of stepped on a little bit that is outrageous consistency averaging two to one spin rates first one that's the one just shy of $4,000 for a absolutely beautiful but tell you what they are very very very good numbers spin averaging just shy of three and a half thousand which again he's very good for for a kind of players distance ion which is exactly what this is very very impressive moving on to the 6-iron how consistent of these same ballpark aren't they willing to hit two shots pretty much the same Wow last two again went a little bit nice massive for six I'm a dad by the way averaging 188 that's let me think for me yeah that is long for a 6-iron nice long for me definitely spin rates now these are quite low these are pretty low for what we'll be looking for which is obviously why the ball gone further than normal so spin rate just under five thousand four six and which is quite low it's not as low as some of its competitors though which is obviously why that technology is there and let's finish off with the 18 so more of a scoring Club that's just silly big that's huge absolutely huge that consistent but big average distance 170 which would for an 8-iron is pretty unheard of for me to be fair we compare that with the 6-iron you know what you know what spin rate very very very low foreign a tie and the boat again all very consistent so after looking in depth at the numbers there I'm not really surprised because when I did take these clubs out on the golf course they were big they were very big but I didn't feel like I was hitting them long or longer the flag should I say longer the target they looked that powerful I was quite happy clubbing down and then hitting it the distance and I hit quite a few shots close as well with these and to be honest I've not really ever been a fan of players distance irons I sort of never really seen the point of them but these are sort of changing my mind these are current this is the first time I will consider putting something like this in my bag but I've tried the p7 now and I tried the ping I 500 tried all sorts of different clubs and they didn't make it in the bag because I wasn't comfortable with them the spin numbers on the eight-time worried me a little bit they are a little bit low so in summer the worried about the ball flight but worried about how it lands and if I can maintain control with it but if you are in the market for a set of players performance items you want that force bill you want that traditional looks these have to be an option for you you have to go and try these that just feel I mean they feel amazing to be fatter if you could get the sound properly in here or on the videos from outside tell you what listen to this one see what I mean guys I'd been James I'm in it next up I'm going to review the apex pros and then I'm going to bring you a video comparing these to the apex pros you can get these in a split set and it's not just a split set of half and half it's a split set that's designed to be together a lot so much together the finishes are mashed together the variable face thickness as a mush together so that you can get these in a proper split set not just kind of picking a few off the shelf I've been James Robinson I'm here for the golf club really hope you've enjoyed that I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have I could quite easily use those time to go and test the apex pros see you soon

it's plate one there how's he done that I've got a half set of Apex pros Oh nineteen Callaway Callaway apex pros nineteen we're going to talk about to see what can I say about it we're gonna do free old challenge being you have a dad hello everybody and we've also got indoor dry numbers as well should be fun it's a little bit cold six eight and wage we've got an hour pattern there yes shall we let's do this apex pro for our next an offset slender top-line slightly low in its blade limp for me but I get I guess why I get why it's there you know gives you bit more realistic down by the ball it's pretty good-looking yeah it's very shiny very chrome shiny irons into this breeze in it yeah this is a long hole uphill good something right hand side there it is good sounded nice didn't ya it sounded great you like look at that he's liking that at the left then please sir oh you've shoved it that's way right your son like you drop down it's fine yeah that's not your best opener a little bit a neck ball it's very rare for me that yeah there's no normal shape I like the look of it still though I love that it's beautiful yeah absolutely so we see what kind of way are saying about it let's go to the tag Callaway's apex Pro is a forged player's Callaway apex Pro they are calling this a forged performance irons they're trying to squeeze as much distance out of this iron as they can with friendship in all kind of friendly hits across the face trying to help you as much as they can well at the same time giving that kind of tall preferred look and styling and sounds so it's a 1025 mild steel forged head chrome finish looks fantastic featuring the 360 cut face design as well so moving there's a channel basically goes all the way around the outside of this club allowing you to allowing them to save weight in places they don't need it and put it in places that will help you even when you're not hitting the middle of this bat CG placement is precise from long line through the short irons tungsten infused design in this head as well which has allows them to move that way into the right places to give you that desired ball flight and then as we will always in these kind of irons are getting that tour inspired looks or what the better player wants to look down to in its shaping in its length in how it appears down by the ball this tree I've got 100 from you at 170 up here I reckon uh t4m for iron left a start made it round go Brown just short of the green that when I was just shove the bunker good shot and well that one five seven six times looking damn good as well is it interesting there with the taxi get you 360s and all that it's forced it's just you know so good honest I'm some decent numbers really yeah yep look as good as anything like the six on again not as long now it's a bit calmer in its length yeah from 5-7 years yeah I think so it's cold slightly into a couple of our balls are gonna up the right before I chip this in this banker should we look at the drive all day yeah let's go indoors it's warmer so apex Pro numbers for the 2019 model you can see here my spin numbers here at 5a average again I've said this before but I'm always with a 6-iron I'm looking to get around the sort of six thousand mark this particular line is what 29 degrees in in loft so a little bit weaker and than let's say the apex range which is more of where we're trying to get it around sort of thirty degrees of loft with the six owners about what I want to see peak height at 32 yards high and these are now more like what my carries should be around which is an average of 173 carry going up for or moving from one six eight up to 177 again subject to strike but so very good numbers from the apex Pro and more like what I want to see from a pair six own alright we're back out we're ready to go in the bunker hey yeah the numbers are really good yeah I struck that correct you're on yeah 160 yep six I'm in a cult yes please I'm a 175 max with a 6-iron so 165 six huh we're tipping with a wedge the wedge does look lovely look round shape the chrome on these is nice I'm on mud I think and I think you've got to go up and over the bunker Oh shame it's always nice to see this especially the wedge in his hand [Music] it's plate one there how's he done that that's a great shot there you played that I would definitely be taking that just felt like you could open that thing up and play around with it Mack subside really you know yes fine even off the bad mud lie it's just nice it's a very playable gaming wedge I like it yeah look good so dan dan did Wow with his four honey's just on the upslope of the bunker not in here Kenny agreeing just to pop it up and roll it she's done nicely sit sit sit not bad at all little bit fiery obviously it's not quite the right loft but we'll take it right little downhill oh you've got here b2 very good parsy up these in that's not coming why is that not should get the other way I thought it'd take that away just to go one up through one skank paths are us what again is fighting you hinted here it comes down so our putting and I'm not saying it all comes down to parting because obviously distance is such a massive factor when it comes to being better or worse but it's interesting how much it doesn't come down to the 500 mm 1000 Reds stay up nope just misread that's hard in five to skank bogies to start us off that the ions look much better than our goal than our goal this is where obviously this style of them I would be hybrid all day long yeah over that not that I'm saying the foreigners and lovely because it means does it feel you have much confidence looking down at that yep foreign just is a straight face yeah you're going to have to batter this well struck isn't it yes it's dumb well good shot popped up hidin it is quite nice very good tee shot down drew around the corner I didn't get any draw so he's used the slope to run it down and got a lot out of it 200 fighters probably in the four iron again our new it's for own for me does a good one again from that lie you don't mind that it's more Blade II this club bit of rough ball above his feet is it bothering you or not well I'm happier that it's more Blade II with the ball above my feet if I had like a hybrid down here yeah I can get those turning a bit AAS you actually prefer the AI as you prefer this yeah I get that stay in the air bit scruffy yeah well I think you did well for a very average hit was a high on the face high in the toe yeah yeah you can see that from the flight yeah absolutely but they do well again this is where I think we get confused on how much a club can help or not I've done tests and we'll do more on blades to cavity backs and it's really hard to actually measure that a cub is more helpful that just well for a scruffy hit yeah so marks coming in he's just sure the green he's coming in with his pitching wedge it's a lot of green to work with there and I would probably be newsing like a 9-iron or something to chase this out but this is kind of he reckons he would be using this a wedge and his normal set for this shot so it's a good shot just a little bit more on the actual green yeah clubbing these sets I always think it's just beautifully game yeah I love it when they probably love into the words of the player set I think it's really really important when I'm interestingly when I'm choosing a set I'm always picking up the wedge yet to see how that kind of looks which makes a big big choice yeah absolutely because it's a big gaming club isn't it you're not just banging that wedge you're gonna smaller one chop em up no one can do lots with it good two putts needed down you could go one up wondergirl here he's coming uphill off the left too good for eyes to get here and again that for one which was very scruffy hit it's done well it means to get up no that's good yeah very good pop take the floor on this are we even with all your clubs in your bag yeah very good right here it is then stay square one left downhill slightly off he's right turning in oh there it is custom knit again custom day again would you think about comboing these with the standard APEC well it's funny you say that because they do offer that now okay so in this particular range they'll go you can go in you can start with the sort of apex Pro should we say with sort of shorter irons yeah and then when you get into 7-iron you can then go into the normal apex and they make they do a different color head to be able to blend the two sets because yeah this is very chromey so this one is quite chrome chrome looking where the other one is like a bit more of a matte finish okay and they both come out in like a matte finish Amin definitely well I think I could see some good combo sets in these just got to watch those lofts right we're now one four five or one forty eight iron all square in the last again sounds familiar than that you older part i've older part 300 revs what it's nice yeah good shot very nice setup was that similar short again yeah you got some late low point there I could absolutely gain these I love them yeah I think they're great looking set of ions and I looking at that for iron you know I don't think I would need even want to bother about comboing no like I personally would be happy with the four iron in the set yeah I just think something you see in gap test thank you people just they get to their 7i and then it just will stall rocks off and all that yeah where then you would strengthen laughs and different launch and to try and get some more out of it me I do it with a massive jump to my five irons and my rinky-dink yeah sure a little bit clean wasn't it you know that part you had that before sir alright I'm in there nice and close yeah I still think gonna need to hold it though go over the wind all uphill this putt pretty straight not a lot in it I wouldn't think bubbling a little bit on those winter greens he's left a little bit left on that meat on the bone if you want to watch the other Calloway Park it finishes with a nice - I would like that rather than another winter free putt from me it's a good iron shot in there it's interesting anyone who saw the other review we had to move forward on the tee for the same club I mean it's there's no guessing like they're different lofted slightly different shapes they don't go as far it's like these little are two shots or identical your back bit further up and I was that bit further up from the prior one just it just lost people tap it in for a nice two break a little firm on that yeah you did pick him up pick him up comes down to a single part again this is an iron review not a Scotty Cameron review Newport to review [Applause] Oh see my strength on that you see yeah yeah they're just good they look good they do what the law should say they do yeah they're just a good iron a very good iron really really like those I could happily happily play those clips me too me too push goes down below you're gonna test it or not as you enter under if you're crossover like coming down into that set or are you blades going backwards into that Sayer sure they sit kind of right between apex and then whereas true blade B yeah and I'm the blade player but could happily gain that set up a lot next time thank you oh yeah lovely another win you don't like to talk about it [Music]
