An HONEST Review
or guys welcome back to another video so what rate Hawking will in this one is we're gonna be doing a review on the tech tech tech V Pro 500 and Gulf rangefinder so we're even talking about should you actually go and buy this so we didn't test it just to see you know what our initial thoughts were we've heard good reviews of it so we wanted to you know put it to the test ourselves so what we covered in this video here is we're gonna be talking about all the different features can we talk about the design of this product the price the pros and cons and also the frequently asked questions and whether or not you should actually go on and buy this case so let's start with our first impressions so the V Pro 500 is supposedly one of the most popular models out there probably because of the price point that it's at it is more so on the cheaper side compared to all of the other models out there so basically what I wanted to see was whether or not it would actually you know stand up to the test compared to the more you know expensive and more supposedly higher-end models case so so it does come in an all black body and it is really small and compact which is really nice but just because it looks good and it has good ratings on line numbers don't always aren't always the best judge of things so we wanted to basically talk about all the different features and more so the more important things like addressee and all that kind of stuff so let's go over range and accuracy so this is the most important thing of the range finder and that's going to be how far it can actually range find different things case so this can be a make-or-break of any range finder and this model here probably isn't going to disappoint okay because so this V Pro 500 range finder it can measure up to 540 yards with a continuous scan mode so that's not the highest coverage out there but I mean what more do you really need right you're not really going to be measuring distances anymore than that unless you're doing something else besides golf but it was completely fine for me 540 yards was plenty and I think it's going to be plenty for the average golfer and the other good thing about this was the readings were actually pretty instant right you didn't really have to wait and you'll see for your range fire to actually lock in it was pretty instant as soon as you put your scanner on to a certain target okay so another important thing was the actual accuracy like how accurate was okay if it's not accurate there's absolutely no need for anything like this so this model here it doesn't really lack on that either according to you know the research that we did so pretty much I found that it was fairly accurate on the actual model they say that it goes up to plus or minus one meter and that's kind of what their company is actually saying on it now it wasn't always that accurate but it was fairly close to that case so the other thing is that it actually dog is obstacles so whether you have different obstacles in the way as long as you can get their rangefinder on the actual target it's completely fine and it worked perfectly fine for me so some people have actually had troubles with accuracy and obstacles while other people absolutely love the product so there is always two sides to different products like this so I personally had no problems with this but other people have so it might just be because the people didn't really know how to use it properly or you know it could've been a malfunction but from what I understood and what I tested everything seemed completely fine obviously it wasn't you know always plus or minus one metre sometimes it was a little more off than that but overall for the price it was really really close so let's talk about the view and vision of the actual rangefinder itself so it does according to tech tech tech use premium quality multi-layer optics and I found it's pretty easy to read right a lot of range finders you that you kind of have to hold it on a certain top target for you know three five even more seconds and I found this one really easy to read so that was really really nice it measures in both meters and yards so whatever whatever yard is you prefer that was also a really big a big bonus as well is that even if you want to use meters I personally use yards but that's completely fine you can switch it over to meters and it works it just as good with that so the only thing the only downside is that you did need a steady hand if you do have shaky hands it was sometimes hard to get a read so if you have a steady hand it's gonna work completely fine for you all right so let's talk about portability and durability so is it actually portable and is it actually durable because that really does because oftentimes you're just throwing these in your bag and you know taking it out you know a couple times per year is it gonna actually hold up because there's no point having something if it's gonna fall apart after a single use but it is compact and lightweight which is nice you know super super small can easily fit in your pocket so that was also a nice thing I don't really like the big you know huge range finders where you know they're they're kind of a hassle that drag around everywhere but it does come with a good carrying bag as you can see in the picture here which is pretty cool it was a nice and durable you know easy to use bag which is really really nice one of the downsides was I heard it can sometimes fog up a bit from what we used in what we tested we didn't really have this problem but it looked like some people did have this problem so that was just kind of one negative but as long as you just take care of it you're gonna be fine obviously if you you know leave it out and it gets you know water in it or you know something along the lines of that obviously that's gonna cause a problem but as long as you take good care of it you put it back in its case efforts use you don't get a too wet it's going to be completely fine so the other thing is that it is risk free so it does come with a 30-day money-back guarantee which is pretty cool I mean as a two-year warranty if anything goes wrong you'd simply ship it back and you don't get replaced or get something fixed which is awesome it is free shipping which is really cool and also has free returns in case you want to send it back which is awesome as well so let's talk about some of the pros case so the first pro that it was light and compact right super super important for me is to have something small you can put in her pocket it's easy to carry around so that was the first thing so in my opinion it was long enough yardage I mean in my mind obviously there's other range finders that go longer but you know 540 yards was completely enough for me and that was fine with that so it was accurate enough for me obviously we heard from different reviews that some people had troubles with this but from when I tested it was completely fine I'm sure that the problem was they just maybe they had shaky hands and they didn't really get a good reading maybe they weren't aligning it properly all that kind of stuff right but from what we tested we had good accurate results so the other one is a create display like look looking through the actual rangefinder itself was really it was a great display I've looked through other ones where it was kind of you know it's kind of all over the place a little bit hard to understand everything but this one had a great display so that was another pro it does come with a bag which is awesome as well easy storage it protects it easy to carry around all kind of stuff and the final thing is that it has a 2 year warranty which is pretty cool anything goes wrong within about two years you can send it back they'll replace it or fix it and all kind of stuff ok so let's talk about some of the cons um there was a couple the first one is that people did have troubles with accuracy um like I said before I personally didn't but other people reading through other reviews did have troubles of it obviously it could have been a malfunction it could have been from you know just not using it properly having shaky hands all I can assess was pretty hard to say from what I had I had no problems with it um the one thing that definitely was a con as you need steady hands if you have shaky hands it was pretty hard sometimes getting an actual read on the target because you do have to hold it on the target for you know 1 or 2 seconds and then it instantly gives you a distance but if you're kind of shaky it's gonna have a hard time reading and I'm sure that's why people have had problems with accuracy and the final things that it may fog but as long as you take good care of it you put it back in the case you don't throw it around you keep it dry all that kind of stuff as long as you do that it should be completely fine I'm pretty sure like look if the fogging aspect was from you know just misuse you know not taking good care of it all that kind of stuff ok so let's cover some frequently asked questions first does it measure distance over sand trap so you know obviously it's a pretty important thing to know if it does right so it pretty much measures whatever you point that so and long as it's steady as long as you can get the display on the actual target itself it's gonna measure the distance Kay so it can measure over stuff all kind of stuff as long as it actually hits on the target is it rechargeable right it's not rechargeable it does use a CR 2 3 D batteries so you can't recharge it you have to replace the battery in it and what is the magnification on it the magnification is 6x on okay so is it worth it right you know taking into account all the pros all the cons is it actually worth it so it's not the model out there from what we've tested obviously there's other ones that are out there but for the price it can't be beat right so at the time of recording this it was somewhere around 149 US dollars somewhere around that range it might be more might be less whenever you're watching it but for the price it can't really be beat right you don't need to spend three four five hundred dollars on a range finder this one works completely fine there are far more advantages two disadvantages there was only the three dislike three cons to it but the majority of those cons were probably from misuse or just not taking good care of it that kind of thing so if you're an average weekend golfer this range finder it's gonna be great for you you know I'd test it out I had great results with it and finally the cheapest place I could find this product is in this description below okay so I left a link there and that's gonna be Golf Monthly Review
hello John Simon here from golf monthly and welcome to it very breezy wits have more students here in Lisbon Portugal where today I've been testing the new Bushnell tour v4 rangefinder now this comes in two different versions we've got the standard and the sloped version here now in the past golfers may have been deterred by slope lasers because they weren't legal for competition use but changing the rule 14-3 regarding artificial devices means that you can now have a slope laser and disable the function and use it in competitions which means it's great you can use it in practice rounds and then you haven't got to change to a different device for your competitive round so hopefully that encouraged you to upgrade to a slope laser obviously gives you great accuracy for for a hilly courses there's also a lot of other interesting and beneficial features in this new laser we've got four hundred yards range for the jolt function which are caused by brakes when it picks a target out from the background which is very useful to have very reassuring to know that you've got the right distance it's 30% smaller which means it's a lot lighter as well there's this fast focus technology which means you're going to get your distances quicker when you hit the button so I've been testing it here out on the course I always have our students first thing you notice it is very compact it fits perfectly in your hand it is lighter we don't really lose out on stability because you've got these kind of ergonomic grip shaped patterns here and it's very grippy it's got kind of a rough texture to it which means known as it fit perfectly in your hands it's also very stable even in the wind today and I was getting the yardages didn't feel like my hand was wobbling could still focus on the flag and keep it nice and stable one thing that really pressures me about this Bushnell tour v4 is getting that jolt vibrating bursts on long distances so if you're hearing in spar fives you know you've got over 250 yards away you're still getting that reassuring burst in fact I didn't even try it on the tee of a par 4 earlier which is 390 yards to the flag and even managed to pinpoint the flag from that distance so that's a reassuring feature that no other brand offers in the laser rangefinder Catterick and I think a lot of golfers are going to find that very useful you can change the focus of it using the finger it's quite stiff it takes a little bit of getting used to actually when you change your focus but that means that you can control it a little bit easier the fact that it's more stiff you're not going to go too far when and then have to slide back and so is a very quick system to use when you're adjusting the focus but actually from the testing I go down at the course you don't really need to change the focus all that much on the whole is an absolute joy to use the distances came up really quickly the job function like I mentioned before is a godsend to golfers who you know who aren't sure if they've picked out the flag from the background you get that a confidence boost from that vibrating burst that you get for me the focus toggle is a little too stiff I think they could have loosened that slightly it is generally pretty easy to use with one finger so you've got the button on the top which you also use to change the different functions so you can change from yards to meters you can also change this from the slope to the normal laser so you know if you're looking for new laser brush noir the leaders in laser rangefinder technology you know they really have pushed the envelope with this new laser there's nothing really to dislike about it it fits perfectly in your hand it's absolute joy to use and they do say is pocket-sized there's no doubt you can fit in your pocket whether you want to store it there as you play that's another matter they're really cutting edge technology from Bushnell slope edition which I've got here retails over at 315 pounds the non slope Edition is two six nine pounds and it's available from the start of June so if you in the market for a new laser rangefinder really recommend you give this bristol torvi four laser rangefinder a go
Additionally, the innovative Leupold GX-5i3 has PinHunter 3, which eliminates inconsistent readings due to shaky hands.
What a great help for golfers who have unsteady grips!
It fits perfectly in one hand, and it was an absolute joy to use it on the golf course.
We are guaranteeing the fact that it's pocket-sized which can fit any pocket with no doubt.
Regardless of your golf level, you would be delighted to grasp that 99% of PGA Tour members and 98% of Tour caddies are using Bushnell rangefinder.
It is high-level proof of integrity this brand has earned in the industry of golf.
With Bushnell's rangefinders, you can be sure that you're getting smaller, lighter, faster, and more accurate devices.
Overall, the Tour V4 is an exceptional mid-level rangefinder that's versatile, accurate, fast, and can pass any obstacle on the course.

hello welcome along to Google Golf Club where today we're running through some of the best laser rangefinders on the market now why should you choose a laser rangefinder over say a GPS watch or a GPS handheld device well there's a number of reasons first of all laser rangefinders tend to be a lot more precise than GPS unit so you can give they give you specific points to the flag and also points on the course where a GPS device is often just give you generic front middle and back distances so if you're after really specific distances to pins a laser rangefinder it's going to deliver that for you obviously they have their limitations and that they only work on line of sight so if you are blocked out by tree say or you've got a blind hole a laser rangefinder is going to have difficulty in giving you the distance that you want but generally speaking they're very quick to use they're very easy to use and also they come in a similar price point to GPS handheld devices with a little bit of extra accuracy and speed another thing that lasers offer you is slope adjusted distances so either built into the same unit or separate unit which cost a little bit more they'll give you slow adjusted distances based on the gradient a change of the shots from where you are to the flag to help you give you more accurate clubbing information for your shot so lots of pros when it comes to Laser laser rangefinder devices we've picked out six of our favorites and we're going to run through them now the pros and cons of each to help you perhaps give you a little more insight into how they perform and why you might choose one over another [Music] so the first laser rangefinder I've picked out from the six is the Bushnell tall V for shift now the interesting thing about this not only is it the lightest laser out of the six that we've picked but it also offers slope switch technology here on the side via a switch on the side you can see it moves up and down and that just it's from standard distances to slope adjusted distance it's all built in one device which makes it really convenient not only for tournament rounds which makes it legal what it's not employed with in practice rounds perhaps courses you're not played before you can employ that slope function and they'll give you slow majestic distances so a lot of Technology crammed into this one device we found it really easy to use it's got kind of griffey areas on the top and bottom that allows you to get a firm hold on it what we don't like about this laser is how the switch it's actually quite easy to knock it's a little bit too sensitive so you can find yourself accidentally adjusting it maybe in your bag or in your hand but other than that we really like the functionality of it it's really clear to see the the viewfinder is fantastic and of course we've not mentioned the jolt functionality on this so gives you a little bit of a vibrating burst when you pick out the flag from the background to let you know that you've got the right distance so like a lot of Technology putts into this if you're looting the market for a laser it's going to give you a little bit of everything I think that's all before shift is one you should we consider it comes in at 339 pounds [Music] so next up is the Bushnell throw x2 and in contrast to the tall v4 shift this is a lot heavier coming at 227 grams actually like that gives you a little bit of extra stability compared to the tall v4 shift it's got the same slopes for its technology but it's got a longer range and that's what you're paying for you're paying for extra precision from a longer distance so you can pick out flags and further away and it is 100% waterproof so you don't got to be worried about courts getting caught up in a shower with this so a little extra money comes in at 449 pounds we're getting a longer range a little bit more functionality and waterproof protection as well all right next up is a nickel and cool shot ATV R this is one of two lasers from the con featuring in this video this weighs 200 grams it's got a very tacky feel to it so it's very easy to get firm hold of this and it fits really nicely in your hand the thing I really liked about this later it's got vibration reduction technology and well that is essentially stabilizes the viewfinder the target in the viewfinder and helps you lock onto the flag more easily reduce errors and hopefully speed up the use when you're about to hit your shot so it takes a bit of getting used to but I think after a while I really enjoy the functionality that this offers obviously it's very easy to adjust the focus there you've got a couple of different modes as well via the button the one thing to talk about is that it is white and if you don't use the carry case maybe you tuck it in your bag after your shot it will discolor quite a lot you see here it's turned a slightly tint of brown I'm not really like the functionality is a bit expensive comes with 379 pounds so a lot of money for the functionality but I think if you do make the investment you'll really enjoy what it has to offer so the Nichkhun call shot a TI is essentially the slope adjusted distance version of the standard nickel on laser so has the same other features that featured on the other one so it's got a thousand-yard range it's got the vibration reduction technology as well but it just comes in 420 pounds before that you're getting the cons ID technology which essentially compensates for different slopes on the course and to be fair to Nick on both the culture 80 and the culture 80 I are both waterproof so it does go some way to justifying the higher price tag so ideal for practice rounds and friendly rounds if you're playing course you'd not play before to give you those adjusted distances to help improve your accuracy on hilly courses next up is the Golf Buddy L r7 now this builds on the popular lr5 model actually it's got four different modes on this laser so it's got things like pin mode which will pick out the flag from the background and also a scan mode which we found really useful off the tee to scan from hazards backs of bunkers back onto the fairway to see different distances to help plot your strategy off the tee and select the right Club it's also got a very box-like shape so it kind of fits in the hand very neatly it's probably one of the largest of the models that we've picked in this video we're still very comfortable to use very easy to adjust the focus if you find is pretty basic but it still gives you all the relevant information very easy to read and different light conditions and it comes in a reasonable price 249 pounds 99 pence so you're getting quite a lot of features and functionality for your money with this one recommend you give it a try if you're looking to save have a few pounds [Music] so last stuff because the Callaway 300 Pro laser I've not used a calorie laser in the past we're actually pretty impressed with this one it comes in at 299 pounds it's got a thousand-yard range but the main technology feature with this is a birdie chirp sound when it when you pick out the flag from the background much like Bushnell has a vibrating jolt this offers an audible chirp sound like a bird so if I just pick out that flag over there from the background hopefully you heard that you can see it gives quite a loud chirp maybe you're playing partners might notice that you might put them off by don't think that's really applicable I think it's a really interesting feature actually the looks great fits nice and easily in your hand it's got a couple of different modes on there as well to help your strategy out in the course and it also it's waterproof and fog proof so for 299 pounds to get a laser that is waterproof is pretty innovative from Callaway not tried it out in terms of getting it wet so you have to trust their word on that but very impressive package for the money reckon when you give it a go so with all this wonderful laser rangefinder technology which would we choose if we absolutely had to well I've picked out two of my favorites the first is the Bushnell tour V for shift I like the fact is you know Bushnell was a very respected brand it's the number one brand laser beam for a brand on tour you know you're getting reliable accurate distances they're very well regarded in the scope world of kind of hunting shooting things like that binoculars the technology is fantastic the job function is excellent and obviously with this one you're getting both slope adjusted distances and the normal distances in one unit at the touch of a button and a reasonable price so that's my first choice also comes with a very premium looking carry case unlike the Nick on which three one one of the reasons I've not chosen the nickel I love the vibration reduction technology but it is a lot of money and the carry cases are a little bit budget for me so I'm not picking that one the second one I've picked is the Golf Buddy lr7 it's very simple it's a comes in at a very reasonable price of 250 pounds and for that price you're getting a lot of functionality like I said four different modes so all the different scenarios are on the course that you would face other than of course blind shops really can't use a laser the lr7 is going to deliver the performance that OB Golf Review
all right what's going on guys so in this video here were me reviewing the Nikon cool shot 20 laser rangefinder case where we talk about after testing all this product first other range finders and GPSS are we telling you and letting you know whether we think it's worth picking up or not so what are we covering in this video here are all the different features of the rangefinder itself we'll be talking a bit about the design also the price some pros and cons of the unit itself and also where the best places to buy so if you just are looking for the best and cheapest place to buy we will leave a link down in description down below half time this video that was the cheapest and best place we could find this but let's talk about the features of the unit itself so it's a clean and simple device that doesn't really have a lot of bells and whistles but it is well priced case older there are other models out there that have a lot more features and you know more advanced stuff like that and these old those are a lot higher price well this one is relatively low compared to a bunch of other ones and it doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it does do one thing and one thing very well okay so it measures a range of like 6 to 550 yards okay and it has about 6 X zoom arm which is pretty pretty standard when it comes to range finders it's really nice and compact actually you know really really really small I'm it weighs about 125 grams and it does fit nice nicely in one hand so there are some range finders out that there are a lot bigger and be kind of more you know more bulky to use so this one was really small and is really nice made we definitely found that it was really really comfortable and there's no pulse or slope or anything like that and it's made to do one thing and one thing very well which is seating distance which you just talked about if you want those more advanced features then you're gonna have to pay quite a bit more money for different range fighters out there and it also does come with a case to help protect it so you know if you're carrying it around throwing it in your bag whatever you know dropping it getting getting it getting it you know wetting all the kind of stuff it does have a nice bag in case that shell is protected which is awesome as well so let's cover the performance of it so for the short time we've had the range finder it does seem to do really really well made and also really durable often times when things were like really light you know when they're light it doesn't always translate to being sturdy or being durable but this one is actually it seemed too well made this team do you know if you were to toss it around and drop it it seems like it would hold up really nicely so we compared the laser distance to other like top-of-the-line like more expensive range finders and found the Akron to be really really similar between not only this one but you know that the more expensive wasn't other models out there and we found that there within like within about a yard okay so it was really really close now one thing note was it wasn't as fast as other units in terms of quickness to lock on the targets um so you know there's there's other ones that more expensive ones they didn't they lock on the target really really quick this one does take a little bit longer obviously it's not huge or anything like that um if you do have shaky hands it might not work the best but humming for us it wasn't really a big issue that's just one thing to know I wasn't a huge deal for me as long as it's accurate that's all that I per state really cared about okay so considering the price this unit did pretty much all we expected in terms of performance you know we we need we need to want to rangefinder um you know the most important thing is it being accurate if it's not accurate there's no point in having it and even though it didn't have all the bells and whistles on the performance was definitely um it definitely exceeded our expectations for the price which was really awesome kay so let's cover some pros so it is compact and has a lightweight design which is really nice you know being lightweight being compact um you know oftentimes things aren't very strong they're not very durable they break easy we found this one to be you know pretty well made but seem to be lasting and they seem to be something that would be durable you know going into the future okay so it also is weatherproof and you know durable so you know it's not waterproof but it's definitely rain proof so you know if you're on a rainy day um it's not going to you know ruin or wreck and anything obviously if you submerge it in water it's not gonna you know probably not gonna work the best but definitely is weatherproof and it's really really easy to use you know I've used other ones out there that are a bit you know more complicated more than the advanced ones with all a bunch of different features but this one was really it was really simple and was really easy to use but I think would benefit a lot of people who aren't really you know looking for all the bells and whistles and all like that you know that the tech stuff so this one was definitely easy and we definitely like that about it the price was also a really big pro to it so there are a lot of really expensive ones out there and this one is like you know way way cheaper than those ones out there and it does you know it is pretty much the exact same thing in terms of accuracy so we definitely like the price of it and it does come with a 2-year warranty so if anything goes wrong with in tears you can simply send it back and they'll fix it or send you a new one which is great okay so how about some cons so it could be a little bit difficult to use if you have big hands you know obviously because it's really small and compact it might not be the easiest to use but obviously it wasn't a huge deal that's just one thing though and it could be a little bit difficult meeting distances far away so you know if you're trying to read something like you know 354 500 yards um it is probably pretty hard I'm reading those just because it doesn't lock on as quickly as the other ones but if you're you know doing something with 100 150 200 even 250 yards it was fine but if you go anywhere and that is a little bit more tricky and does take a little bit of practice being able to read that but um you know that's pretty much you know the two main things and you know there's also no screen target lock on it which you know wasn't it wasn't a huge deal or anything blush is one thing though the other more expensive models do have that but this one did okay so is it worth it taking into account all the pros all the cons in our opinion you know the short answer would be yes if you don't want to spend like you know the big bucks like hundreds and hundreds of you know three four or five hundred dollars on a rangefinder and you're fine with a simple and straightforward rangefinder that's accurate and you know does one thing and one thing really well well this device performed really well and a dentist job Kay so we did we would definitely recommend it and the cheapest place that we could find this product isn't a link down description down below so at the time of this video that was the cheapest place that we could find this product so you can go ahead and check out the current price and I'll also throw together a bonus here for as well so if you decide to purchase the product um I'll give you a free copy of the consistent report ebook here it is literally seven shortcuts you can use to drastically improve your ball striking and scores overnight so there's seven quick things that I applied to my cam that really helped you know whether was learning through lessons or learning you know studying professionals whatever your seven things are really improved my game so I will give you a free copy of this so we purchase send me email with a screenshot of your receipt I'll leave that down below and I'm gonna send you over a free copy all right so that's going to be it for this video hope you enjoyed let me know if you have any questions down below and we will see in the next video
The Coolshot 20 also features an 8-second Continuous Scanning Mode. It helps to measure distances and avoids multiple hazards on the background.

Overall, the Coolshot 20 is an excellent choice for golfers who need a rangefinder without buying to a hefty price.
This rangefinder can deliver the same performance as those high-end ones that you can find.
As always, Nikon knows how to create a device that can deliver impressive optics at a decent price.
Best Rangefinder in Golf Complete Buying Guide
With hundreds to thousands of choices, we are fully aware of how hard it is to pick the best rangefinder for you.
As we always say, it depends on your preference.
Start asking yourself with some of these "make or break" questions...
Do you need an affordable rangefinder?
Do you want a powerful rangefinder, yet it won't hurt your bank?
Are you willing to spend so much for a rangefinder with extra premium features?
In the end, you need a rangefinder that would help you measure the distance from your ball to your target flagstick.
A rangefinder that would let you determine the exact distance and the right golf club to use for your every shot.
So, after diving into the pool of choices, let's now classify what type of rangefinder should you pick.
FACTORS TO CONSIDER IN BUYING A RANGEFINDER
It is the foremost reason why you're getting a rangefinder. To get exact distance measurements. An inaccurate rangefinder is useless. With the latest technology today, accuracy is a feature you should look at first.
How far can it measure? Remember, it's always best to try it out before buying. Some rangefinders claim that it can shoot a thousand yards, but failed to do so. Make sure that the magnification is apparent, and at least 5x to see targets from afar.
3. SLOPE MEASUREMENT
Choose a rangefinder that can also determine if your shot is down or uphill. It may be illegal for some tournaments, so make sure that you get one that's flexible and can be turned off.
4. PIN SEEKING TECHNOLOGY
This feature is beneficial for those golfers who have shaky hands. It helps you lock on your target easily even with unstable hands, or with different objects in the background.
As always, get a rangefinder that would give you the best bang for your buck. Settle for something that would suffice all your golf measuring needs, at a more reasonable price.
6. EASE OF USE
As a basic rule of thumb, pick a rangefinder that you can use easily, and comfortably with one hand.
7. BATTERY LIFE
Find a rangefinder that's rechargeable, and you can use it for an extended period. Make sure that it's sufficient enough to last a full game of golf.
Since golf is an outdoor sport, it's safe to choose a rangefinder that can withstand any weather conditions. Rain, shine, winter, or fall, the game must go on!
9. STORAGE and LOOKS
Buy a rangefinder that has an ergonomic design, and can handle some wear and tear. Of course, it should have a better grip, and great looks, and recognizable appearance.
10. SIZE and WEIGHT
More lightweight means convenience. Plus, it's portable to bring anywhere, put inside your golf bag or in your pocket.
Understanding The Different Types of Rangefinders - LASER VS GPS
What kind of rangefinder you'd prefer to use?
Let's see how they differ from one another.
Laser Rangefinders use advanced technology, a high-accurate laser technology, to measure distances. Once you select your target, it will send a short laser pulse, measure the length, until it bounces back to the device.
It may be a bit complicated than the GPS type, but Laser Rangefinders are simple to use and easy to set-up.
They also have a longer battery life, comes in a more portable size, high magnification, and excellent accuracy.
GPS Rangefinders, on the other hand, use satellite data in measuring distances. It uses longitude and latitude coordinates to effectively measure even with various hazards and objects surrounding the target.
It has a faster time of measuring, and offer more precision on green locations.
HOW TO MAXIMIZE THE USE OF YOUR RANGEFINDER
There's no rocket science to get the most from your rangefinder, although there are some simple things that you can try to maximize it.
First, always try to pick 2 to 3 targets instead of one. It will help you get a better overlook of those nearby targets, and choose the right golf club. Make sure to pick your flagsticks before you hit your ball, so you shoot instantly and make better plans.
Second, once you have to pick your target, take note of their distance versus your actual mileage. Start measuring the golf course, and which flagstick should you hit first. Always play the game that you need, instead of the game that you want. Golf can be unpredictable. The main point here is to identify your shot tendencies, for better and more accurate shots.
Finally, interpret your data. Do you have the right vision of where will your shots will land? Does it have to short or just the right power? Use all the information that you can get using your rangefinder.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR RANGEFINDERS
When it comes to purchasing golf rangefinders, here are some common questions that always get asked.
QUESTION 1: How can I say that a Rangefinder is a "Tournament Legal" Device?
According to the USGA, in their Rule 14-3, they allow all golfers to use a measuring device during tournament gameplay ONLY if the local rules permit.
If they would allow it, a legal rangefinder only has one primary feature so you can use it.
What is it?
Rangefinders to be considered as "Tournament Legal" should measure distance only, and no slope compensation. Additionally, a tournament legal rangefinder should feature pin seeking technology that can find flagsticks fast.
QUESTION 2: What are the Other Disqualifying Features?
In summary, disqualifying features for a Tournament Legal Rangefinder includes slope compensation, and adding other measuring features in your rangefinder like temperature.
QUESTION 3: Which or What is the Best Rangefinder for you?
Once you have found that rangefinder that would cater to all your golfing needs, and you're willing to spend your money on it, then don't let it go.

Do you play in any tournaments? Do you only play golf for fun or as a hobby?
The answer to these questions will help you determine which one is the best for you.

Everyone desires to get the most for every bucket that we spend or get even better or more than what you're paying.
It may be rare, but that's the dream!

more questions coming at you with golf online my name is Michael David is asking do you do you use a golf watch GPS as well as a laser I use a laser predominantly but I also do use GPS because I will have my game golf app on often and that's going to allow me to see if where the whole corners how far is the quarter if we're going over a June around trees where you can't see the GPS systems the one on my phone it's a free app in game golf allows me to plot the hole a little better we're obviously a laser only lasers what it's see so it's great in lots of situations measuring a bunker measuring a flag measuring a slope measuring a tree I want to kind of draw it off am I going to reach it those kind of things but the GPS system is much better on courses like I play where we don't really know them we're playing them for the first time you can get a little bit more of a gauge of what the hole does other systems as well you get things like the stroke savers you know the course books those kind of things can really help in those instances as well they take maybe a little longer because you've got to plot and work out but I'm a fan of both and like see - spend loads of money there are free apps out there that do it as well but I wouldn't be able to go out on a course for about a laser I love lasering the flag I like not an exact instance the flag and I can just work ten off or ten more for lamb behind the flag or short of it and the laser is my main piece of kit you
How to choose the perfect rangefinder for your game | GOLF.com
if you're in the market for a distance measuring device let us share with you some of the options that you might want to consider they're really two different kinds of distance measuring devices there are GPS units in this case they're in the form of watches or you could download an app to your phone now these units will really give you your G's to the front middle and back of the green but they don't give you precise right to the flag and that's where range finders come in today we're really going to focus on the laser rangefinders now they all do a really good job of locking in on the target but the big difference is whether or not they have built in slope technology and what that means is if you're standing 150 yards from the green and it's a flat shot from from you to the flag the reading you'll get on all three of these devices is 150 yards but let's say the green is elevated with a slope function built into your rangefinder it'll tell you that exact yardage it may say 157 now that's the part that the USGA would rule non-conforming you cannot use the slope function during tournament play but as long as you have the slope function turned off any of these are fair game in tournament play the first one I'm going to take you through is the precision Pro and x7 it sells for $200 again it locks into the target very nicely and it's water resistant it can shoot up to 400 yards and one nice little feature is the company will give you free battery replacements once the once the battery runs out but again no slope feature on this on this one for $330 the loopholed GX 2i3 this does have a sloped feature it's rather easy all you do is just press this button and it'll put the SLO feature on press it again and it's off one thing that's nice about this is that it actually makes club selection recommendations for you so you tell it your normal yardages and it'll then make recommendations for what club you should pull it's almost like having your own caddy built into this little device the last product we have is the Bushnell Pro x2 this sells for five hundred dollars one nice feature about this is it comes in two different displays you can choose to see the numbers in either red or black it also has what the company calls jolt technology and what that simply is is when you shoot the flag and you've locked in on the flag the product will actually literally shake in your hands to confirm that you've nailed your target it's very easy to switch in and out of the slope setting when you do that the product is in the slope setting which means now it's going to consider the incline or the decline on the shot and when you do that you're back into the normal setting and this is the setting that is conforming for tournament play all of these companies offer differently priced products as well as there are a range of other companies that are in the laser rangefinder business so if you're looking to up your game a distance measuring device whether it be a laser rangefinder or a GPS unit is sure to help you
