Hello everybody. My name is Richard from zappos.com.
And today we're checking out these awesome golf shoes from New Balance golf.
Now these guys here are made out of breathable mesh throughout that upper with a layer of that. Ultralight Phantom fit technology on top. You can see looks really sturdy. But what it's designed to do is when you lace up, it's really going to hug your entire foot and give you a locked-in secure fit and as they rev light midsole with a four millimeter drop in there, but that material is very very lightweight shock absorbing all that good stuff. Keep your feet energized while you're playing its top of that flexible endurance spikeless rubber outsole here. I'm nothing more than a beginner at golf but I slip these bad boys on next thing, you know, my quadruple bogeys were turning into triple bogeys at says something that's a drastic improvement.
Now you're good at golf. So imagine what it's going to do for you.

AN HONEST REVIEW
Hello, we're here today at Royal Ashdown Forest golf club in East Sussex on the west course to look at the Skechers Go golf shoe range for 2017.
Now sketches may be a relatively new name for some of you when it comes to golf shoes. But they are the number two Footwear brand in the US. They've been in the running and lifestyle shoe business for some time and their products have always been technology-driven and a lot of that has translated over into the Gulf collection as well brand ambassadors like Colin montgomerie and particularly Matt Kuchar and had a real hand in helping to design the shoes as well. Now one of sketches key promises is out-of-the-box Comfort they promised that the pair of shoes you buy will be as comfortable when you walk out onto the First Tee first time as when you've been wearing them for several months.
I've been trying out two pairs of Skechers Go golf shoes now both shoes that I've been wearing have proved extremely comfortable right from the word go in particular the drive to which I haven't at the moment, which also have some Crossover with And the street where so you can wear these shoes just as comfortably off the course as you can on. It's now one of the big concerns with shoes like that is do they give you enough traction and grip out on the golf course. Well Ashdown West has a number of greens and tease with steep banks around them and I can actually say they've almost had even more traction than spiked shoes which surprised me a lot.
I would have expected maybe a little bit of slippage but absolutely none of that which is quite reassuring. So let's take a closer. Look at the shoes. I've been wearing and some of the other shoes in Skechers Go golf 2017 collection testing them out on the course a little bit more and finding out exactly what gives them such high levels of comfort.
Okay, let's start with the go golf pro 2 shoe, which I was wearing this morning in the LX version that has a kind of suede that nubuck effect finish. This is the shoe that sworn by Matt Kuchar out on tour as you can see here official Footwear of Matt Kuchar.
This is the headline showing the Skechers Go golf range and their most advanced in terms of Technology. It features five Jen cushioning which is a responsive phone that provides both protection and comfort to keep the water out. It has sketches H to go waterproof Shield, you can see that it's a cleated shoe. So it has nine cleats here which combined with a dynamic traction plate with a maximum grit in all sorts of conditions out on the course the second shoe. I've been testing out today here at Royal Ashdown Forest is the go golf drive to I've been testing the LX model which has this. Round chocolate color leather upper the issues have a durable Rubber Sole with a durable traction plate and they have a lot of knobs here which actually give you a lot more grip and stability on slippery surfaces than you might expect the third shoe. We're just going to take a look at here. That's a key product in the Skechers Go golf 2017 range is the elite to now if you look at this shoe up against the pro to it's the same upper. It's the same shoe accept. The soul is different the elite to has a comfort traction spikeless Soul as opposed to the cleats or spikes on the pro to the fourth shoe. We're going to take a look at here in the Skechers Go golf 2017 range is also the newest it's called the focus and it has this athletic Sleek profile.
It has a full contact bottom. So the whole of the Soul which is cleated is in contact with the ground the whole of the time for maximum stability.
It has a dynamic a perfect which helps to secure the foot firmly within the shoe and it also, Times sketches renowned H to go waterproof Shield technology and the V JN cushioning that provides that extra comfort and cushioning as you walk and swim.
So that's a closer. Look at some of the key Technologies in Skechers Go golf 2017 golf shoe collection the two pairs. I've been wearing have both proved extremely comfortable Straight Out of the Box in particular. I really like the go golf drive to shoe know that has something called Goga Matt technology, which is this material in the footbed. This is about 3/4 of a centimeter deep and you can really feel that rebounding. When you press it between your fingers your feet are benefiting from that technology with every step you take out on the golf course the other shoe. I've been wearing today the go golf pro 2 LX doesn't have the go go Matt technology, but it does have five gen cushioning for extra comfort and stability. Those are proved really comfortable too.
I've won lots of different golf shoes over the years many of which have proved comfortable but not always comfortable straight out of the box, which is what I've really enjoyed most about these sketches shoes today. It's the first time I've worn shoes from there go golf collection.
So next time you're in the market for a pair of golf shoes. Make sure you put Skechers Go golf 2017 collection on your potential by list.

AN HONEST REVIEW
as history shields down here at Qwest golf academy hair up for every sports village we're testing these do not adjust your set these are the Volvic vivid golf balls I've got the vivid to test which of these crazy crazy crazy colored golf balls they're not crazy golf golf balls by the way they are real golf balls and then I've got the s3 s4 to test I'm gonna do those in a separate video just feel like these two golf balls even though they're made by the same company Volvic they are not in the same league so stay tuned for the s3 and s4 video coming soon probably tomorrow this is from news video coming in let's start with the Vivid's though first because these are the ones that have caused a lot of talking points early because of the ridiculous color of these golf balls and Volvic is a Korean based company who have made these golf balls they seem to be getting into the hands of a lot of players a lot of the good players of Tour players are using s3 s4 so stay tuned like so to review those because these are just different league for me these I've got and very much a crazy golf type look so they are unbelievably bright these are I believe these are all the colors you can get and it's a three piece golf ball it sent me a cut through that three piece golf ball and they're not cheap but not ridiculously expensive in fairness they're quite expensive for what they are so I tested these golf balls I started on the chipping and putting with them did some pitching and I've come back inside played to hit some on quad with a wedge 7-iron and drive sorted through the numbers of these golf balls so I first took them out on the golf course and I must admit I was I was a little bit kind of put out position that putting this ball down on a putting green I felt very very odd putting such a brightly colored golf ball on a point green because you cannot miss these things they are so bright they have a matte finish which actually makes the golf balls look like there are no dimples on them at all you have to look unbelievably close to see the dimples on some of them the red one and the orange one you can make out in pulls a little bit more but on the white one and the blue one and the green one there almost they look smooth the white one looks like a snooker golf snooker ball super golf ball sinker ball or a pool ball or a ping pong ball it doesn't look like a golf ball at all I want to test them so let's get are these adding a bit of a Mickey Mouse golf ball or is there actually something behind the divot let's talk about the feel I was games it's also got over the looks of these golf balls of size pulling with them I wasn't overwhelmed by the feel of them if I'm honest they were quite hard they were quite clicky I didn't feel like they were really giving me any response at all they actually did feel like a crazy golf ball they felt like just that a little bit of a cheap plastic golf ball plastic golf ball and then there's some chipping in some picture with them again just wasn't overwhelmed by this they would golf ball it was just not giving me the feelings that I require and if feelings and putting and chipping and the fields around putting chipping are not bothered and you want just the looks well then that might not be so big a deal for you but obviously when I'm testing the golf ball on a ball that feels soft and one that responds responds and spins as I've chip it into a green so I've now come back inside in to hit some shots on quad GT quad hit for 100 yards shots with a brand new tailor-made wedge hit seven iron shots in a brand new eye 200 ioan and hit some drivers with the Callaway driver and I hit five with with the ball actually hit the green one all the way through the testing I hit five with each shot and then pick the best three to give you some numbers I also did a durability test at the end as well why hit ten golf shots with a full wedge to see how long this ball lasted how it cooked through did it have any real damage as I hit it for durability purposes and let's laugh with the wedge numbers first so as we sing upon screen here a vivid 100-yard shot my biggest standout factor on this was the spin number really wasn't particularly high at all they were quite low actually it was less than 10,000 rpm spin carry distance at 99 yards I thought a flight was good still quite quickly nor the full wedge shots but just wasn't really getting a load to speak this little golf ball does not brand itself as a high spin golf ball it's brandon itself as a low spin golf ball is its run itself as a distance golf ball so we're probably not going to see a lot of spin numbers from that range now did get some really weird spin numbers off this as well using quad and I can only really put it down to the fact that quad uses a camera system that works at I think it's 20,000 frames per second and I think because they were so matte finish it was actually struggling to see the spin of the dimples on a normal golf ball it can actually see the spin of the dimples so I've tested all of the colors with the wedge and I'll just show the numbers here this is all of the wedge colors and we saw similar again there was a couple of dodgy one without the blue first of all it really didn't pick up at all just at some quadrats on the camera system however though across all of the testing I feel very confident now to say after all of the testing with all of the colors it don't really break 10000 rpm spin children just to go over 9,000 rpm spin when I compare that to a pro v1 or at ATP 5 the premium premium green golf balls that's quite low on it but again it's not branding itself at the premium ball I spin numbers but it's not cheap they are not cheap these golf balls if those if that bright you shouldn't be able to lose them as much but that's one thing actually when I was out on the golf course did a little experiment and I chucked him into the rough to see how quick they were easy to it they were to find I found that those three weirdly enough were really difficult to find the red one most difficult followed by the blue one followed by weirdly the bright green one was really struggling to find those ones those four much easier to find that one and that one couldn't miss them when they fly through the air on full shots it is why something else the light meteorite explained through there it's quite it's quite a sensational sight you cannot miss anyone that uses these Vivid's I've got to tell you that and then one that uses the vivid RM how can I say this brave I think to rock up with a golf ball this call it on the first tee I think you're very brave however I do think it's got a market I think for the junior golfer for the new golfer so somebody wants fun with it they're going to look at choosing one of these because I think they're just so bold and and crazy I just can't imagine Barry the accountant turning over one of these I don't know stereotype I just I just don't know if that's the case I don't lift up the market for them vivid 7-iron shots you can see that the middle row again I was getting low spin numbers again carrying it 173 for 183 toll but spin rate quite a bit lower considering the spin rates I'm normally get that 7-iron and again it's going to offer good distance but for me not spin numbers that we require if we look at the driver numbers great low spin numbers for me when I was hitting them hard I've getting less than 2,000 spin just great equaling 292 carry difference I just use golf balls having a market place in the long drive tournament I think a lot of long drive guys would use this type of golf ball one because it's a wacky crazy sport that they all play when they just ran smack it is hard to count but doesn't matter if it looks like it's got no dimples they probably quite like that I also give it a feeling like it's just going to go even further and I feel like long drive guys will actually have a field day with these things and and they would look so good through the air really would certainly be in hitter like 200 miles per hour ball speed and the finish is something too is hard to get over I hit 10 balls with the green one after the test and honestly it looks like it's damage free but that's only because I cannot see I can't see the dimple this even if it wouldn't make damage it just it still just has that matte finish to it it's not scratched it's not scuffed I've read some comments online that they say they're not very good in dirt I don't know why that would be the case it seems to pick up a lot of dirt as well as it would because they're so super bold any bit of mud or anything Oliver stains wouldn't look as good but I didn't know its attack I'm honest though when I was talking about the golf course it wasn't a big deal the two or three times I've taken on the course you might have seen this before I did this review me and Pete have actually hit these golf balls out on the golf course I hit this on the on the passport at st. George's Hill and drove through the back of the green and this one the orange one conway golf club and it went like 450 yards it was a week and I'm not exaggerating there is video proof of that it went a ridiculous ridiculous long way I do think the long kitten golf balls I really do I think that the junior golfers will absolutely love these I just don't see it having a huge audience base that absolutely fine either way they're not quite crazy golf balls but for me they're not far off there a little bit novelty there a little bit out there but hey there's nothing wrong with that either there is absolutely nothing wrong with that whatsoever but bring some brightness and some smiles to people's faces out in the golf course I'm all for that and that's the Volvic vivid now bear in mind that what I'm saying is vivid vivid the s2 in the s3 and s4 that review is coming next now these are the premium golf balls coming from Volvic oh wow these are a different league to the vivid believe me when I say that so guys stay tuned for that video that's going to be coming next if you enjoyed the video hit that like button comment below which color if you had up have to if you have to play with one of those golf balls what color would you play with I'd love to hear your comments down below and if I see some good ones and I even send you the color of the golf ball don't think I'm going to be taking out the golf course anytime soon and playing with them so comment below if I see some creative ones I'll get in touch and I'll pendulous golf balls out guys thanks for watching hope you enjoyed the video if you need to my channel hit that subscribe button stay tuned tomorrow for the or if this is the videos already built loaded the video will already be on my channel at the s3 in the export videos coming soon these are the premium golf balls a very different tale to those two guys thanks for watching hope you enjoyed it I will see you next time Volvic vivid dawn brighten up someone's day anyway they are bright
Things to Consider When Buying a Waterproof Golf Shoe
There are a lot of waterproof golf shoes available in the market which is why it can be hard to find a high-quality pair that is suitable for you. However, you can make an informed decision by keeping in mind a few essential things. Most importantly, the waterproof golf shoes that you are purchasing should be comfortable, well-designed, and durable.
Below, we have listed some other things that you should consider when buying waterproof golf shoe to find a nice pair.
Traction and Stability
When you are searching for waterproof golf shoes to buy, you should pay attention to the cleat details and spike system. If the sole isn’t good, then you shouldn’t carry on with the purchase.
It is very important to maintain balance when swinging the club from different slopes.
You can only assure this if you’re wearing a pair of shoes that offers excellent traction and stability. The way the sole grips the grip determine the balance and stability you’ll get. A high-quality waterproof pair of shoes offers more grip to ensure that you stay balanced during your swing.
Different shoe manufacturers design their product in different ways. Some add a few spikes towards the exterior to add more grips. Others avoid replaceable cleats altogether and use a completely different traction system – like rubber nubs.
It is also important to note that the position of your foot needs to mold in different parts of slopes and swings. This is why the shoes you are wearing needs to be flexible. The kinds of shoe that make you feel like the sole is made up of hard material isn’t the best option for golf.
Inspecting all the elements of the pair of shoes like the laces, leather, and sole is important before you buy them. Also consider the weight of the shoe because if it is too heavy, you will get tired before you get to the 18th hole.
You’ll be walking for over 6 miles so a lightweight pair of shoes is an absolute must.
If the waterproof golf shoes don’t fit you well, you won’t be comfortable and thus would struggle to concentrate on your shots. Walking and swinging with these shoes will also be hard for you and you’ll end up cursing them if you miss an easy shot.
This is why you should avoid a waterproof shoe that isn’t a good fit.
If you wear golf shoes of a certain brand and you are certain that waterproof golf shoes from that brand would fit you perfectly, it might be better to stick to that.
If you opt for a different brand, make sure to try them first to ensure that they are a good fit.
Waterproof golf shoes may be made with different materials. Leather is most commonly used. This leather is typically treated to improve durability and longevity. Composite materials and synthetic leather are also used to make waterproof golf shoes.
We recommend you to steer clear of waterproof golf shoes made with cheaper fabric materials.
These aren’t good at keeping water out and might actually soak up more moisture.
When you are buying waterproof golf shoes, look for a waterproof warranty. Brands like New Balance offer a two-year waterproof warranty on some of their waterproof golf shoes.
If there is no warranty, make sure to read the reviews of people who have used them to ensure that they are indeed waterproof.
This is because some companies would say that their shoes are waterproof when they really aren’t.
This is a no-brainer. You should consider your budget when buying a pair of waterproof golf shoes. There are many good value waterproof golf shoes available in the market that won’t put a dent in your wallet so you should be able to find a decent option even on a tight budget.
Questions and Answers about Waterproof Golf Shoes
Q.1) Should You Pick Spiked or Spikeless Waterproof Golf Shoes?
Golfers tend to be picky about the style of their golf shoe. Spikeless golf shoes have recently become more popular among the community, but many are sticking with the tried-and-tested spiked waterproof golf shoes. Which of the two is the better option?
Golfers who like spiked waterproof golf shoes say that they provide a better grip throughout the swing. On the other hand, those who tout spikeless waterproof golf shoe claim that these shoes don’t just provide good grip but are also more comfortable than their spiked counterparts.
Spiked waterproof golf shoes sport actual spikes on the outsole whereas, in spikeless models, rubberized studs are used.
The outsole of the spiked shoes is more rigid while that of spikeless models is pliable and soft.
Older golfers prefer spikeless waterproof golf shoes, as they are more comfortable but younger players like the feel they get from the spikes under the sole.
Golfers who are against spikeless shoes complain that they don’t provide solid grip in wet conditions. However, manufacturers have catered this problem by creating better soles that provide good grip in all conditions.
In the end, the answer to whether to pick spiked or spikeless waterproof golf shoes depends on your personal preference. The waterproof capabilities of both these types of shoes are the same, so you should pick the one that you feel provides you with better grip and comfort on the course.
Q.2) Can Waterproof Golf Shoes Help You Gain More Stability with Your Swings?
Waterproof golf shoes can indeed help you gain more stability with your swings. The three major areas that golf shoes help with during a swing include flexibility, balance, and stability.
When you find yourself swinging on uneven grounds, you’ll thank the waterproof golf shoes for providing you with more flexibility during the swing.
Waterproof golf shoes help with balance as the spikes or nubs on the bottom are designed to keep the feet connected to the group during the swing.
These shoes are also wider along the base. This is done intentionally to keep the lower half of your body steady throughout the swing to maximize the speed of the swing. Stability is helped with waterproof golf shoes due to their design.
Whether you are wearing spiked or spikeless waterproof golf shoes, both options will make a solid connection with the turf, allowing for optimum gripping during the swing.
Q.3) Are Waterproof Golf Shoes Really Necessary?
Well, they aren’t necessary if you are swinging under the scorching sun mid-July. However, it isn’t always sunny and 80 degrees on the golf course, right? What’ll happen if it rains and you have to continue the game? Your regular golf shoes will get soaking wet and you will feel the moisture on your feet. Thus, you will have no option but to call it a day. If you are wearing waterproof golf shoes, you might be able to finish the game.
This is why it’s best to buy waterproof golf shoes and wear them if you think that the weather would take a turn for the worst while you are enjoying your favorite game.
Q.4) How to Play Golf Comfortably in the Rain?
- Keep Your Clubs Dry
It is essential to keep your shoes dry, but it also just as important to keep all your clubs dry. This way you’ll be able to play golf more comfortably during the rain. Always keep a rain hood in your bag so that you don’t have to dry your clubs before each shot.
There are different rain hoods available in the market that should provide good protection against rain, keeping the clubs dry. Even if you have the bag covered, you should still check your clubs when you get home to see if they are dry.
If they are not, use a towel to dry them and the bag otherwise, your clubs will get rusty.
- Putting and Bunkers
An important part of the golf game that’ll change when you are playing in the rain is putting. Putting in wet conditions will require some patience. The reason is that the dimples of the golf ball will fill with water during the rain and thus you won’t be able to make clean contact. Moreover, the ball will not roll. Instead, it’ll slip.
To get a smoother roll in the rain, it is important that you keep the ball as dry as possible. Don’t line up your putt using the ball. instead, use the ball marker. When you are done lining up your putt, dry your ball with a towel and then place the ball back.
You should also be very careful when hitting the balls from bunkers. This is because the ball will fly faster in a moist environment. So watch your swing if you are in a bunker during rain.
If you hit the golf ball too hard, it might fly over the green and land into the trees, bushes, or water. Instead of using the energy on the shot from a bunker, utilize it when your golf ball is in the rough because hitting it in wet grass will require more force.
