2. Nitro Ultimate Distance Golf Ball
We have already mentioned why distance is important.
For budding golfers, it can be a massive factor in seeing an overall improvement in your game.

3. Titleist Pro V1
Titleist is a huge brand in this space.
The Pro V1 is one of the most commonly used golf balls among beginners and improving golfers.
It is known to provide incredible distance off the tee.
This is down to the consistency in flight. It seems to cut through the air with reduced resistance. You will benefit from both a low long game spin and a penetrating trajectory.
In simpler terms, your shots will be straighter off the tee. They will also go further. This is an average golfer’s dream.
The exterior cover of the ball has a very soft feel. You have more control of your short game as well as your drop shots.
They are marketed as offering total control and enhanced performance for players of all levels. The Pro V1 technology is such that it is spherically tiled. There is a 352 Tetrahedral dimple design. This is then covered by a soft urethane elastomer layer.
The final touch is the ionomer casing layer. Together they offer great terrain resistance and durability. They did not show excessive signs of wear and tear after use. I’d sooner lose a ball than have to replace one that is falling apart.
The Next Generation 2.0 ZG Process Core will give you that long-distance in your shot. It provides lower ball spin and increased speed.
When making a full short, the ionomer casing comes into play. You will have more control of every full shot. The cover system makes it easier to play around the green.

hi guys it's rich shields down here at Qwest Golf Academy and we're going to do some ball testing this is the first of many ball tests coming your way and I've started with the big dogs the Proby ones tight leash probably one and probably 1x he's a brand new model starting this year now this whole review this test started about three weeks ago because I had the opportunity now in Spain at Lumina Golf Resort and I wanted to test these golf balls from the green and work my way backwards until we hit some balls for them GC - that was the whole idea I wanted to see how it reacted on off the putter how it felt what the feelings are gain on the chip shots even on the pitch shots with no data just feel straight out feel then I've come back in here today at Qwest Golf Academy and hit the golf balls on GC - and hey TMT a hundred yard shots with a full sand wedge a hundred and seven iron full shots and I've also eight full shots with the driver I'll go through your testing a little bit in a moment let's get started with the initial testing on the golf course initial testing and we've got two models of golf ball got the pro v1 and the pro v1x generally the differences between the two normally the probably one x is a little bit harder doesn't spin as much but a lot of talks around these golf balls this time that these these two golf balls are almost swapped roles you're just going to get a little bit more spin from the pro v1x I wanted to see if that was the case so what he also did when I was in Lumina when I was doing the testing is I have my notepad and I was making loads of notes about the golf balls one actually hit that so I'll start off with those notes first because this was just all feel based you can only really get feel of a golf ball either just generally by the field sticking you're teasing or sticking your fingernail in it using on the putter or chipping and pitching around the green up the only way you can feel a golf ball you can't feel off a drive when it's hitting it over a hundred miles per hour around any speed for that matter so tau is probably what this is the one with the black number on the ball I would normally gravitate towards when testing and I normally use when I've used probably ones in the past while I was finding from this particular golf ball is it was very soft off the putter very soft and as it puts some three different lengths short putts medium puts and longer putts three from each station with each golf ball and I'm finding that the probably one had a very soft feel and it was very quiet off the pot a super quiet as a hit it it's was interesting clap that felt it did feel super soft moving into the pro v1x this is one with a red number again typically a little bit harder normally find the higher compression ball this time on the pro v1x is almost like I've written the same thing soft off the putter and a quiet sound off the posture and again I did the three station short medium along and the reason why I gained both of those two numbers I took both of those same descriptions it's because the cover of these two golf balls is exactly the same the cover is exactly the same it's what's inside these golf balls changes the way that performed so on ports I wasn't seeing a single bear difference so so far couldn't separate them on putting I then did some chipping just off the side of the green I hit three from the side of the green and I hit three kind of 40 50 yard pictures as well off the fairway tips are out the rough and and picture on the fairway a lot for the pro we once I got the description of it felt soft and it was high spin so I was throwing it in the green it felt like it was grabbing quickly that was the thous of sensation I was getting from the Protein what from the pro v1x I was getting soft feel and I've described it as only good spin I wasn't saying it high spin that was interesting for the probably 1 X being the red number I would say in it just have good spin well did the black box is there as a goal the probably 1 X is the red number with the black box that was same for me it was just good spin on chipping and pitching so that was the bit of the on course test and I wanted to do and I didn't video it with data I just wanted to get the feel feel only and that's how I was always my any to pick a golf ball pick it I'll feel first how it feels off the puffer and how it feels when you're chipping and pitching so now I'll come back inside and I've done some beta testing I hit the same golf ball from the pro v1 and the pro v1x of hit the same golf balls for two reasons one a lot to test durability and I tested that even further at the end of the testing I also wanted some consistency is the same ball over and over so the hundred-yard shots I hit with a 56-degree brand new tailor-made and been milled wedge brand-new and I was finding these numbers these are numbers up on the screen so as you can see the pro v1 is the red number at the top of the red icon at the top and the pro v1x is the blue number the blue icon so Kari distances why did I hit five with each ball and I chose the best three shots so I hit five with each and chose the best three because I wanted to find that consistency they want to take up what to take out anybody it's from me because that's what the balls thought my fault these are good hits and the carry distance is exactly the same I would say on this number what we're looking for is being rate and peak height the spin rate the pro v1 which I've always known as being the highest pinball wasn't as spinning as the pro v1x the pro v1x spun at eleven thousand four hundred and seventy one for a full sand wedge that's high eleven and a half thousand compared to the pro v1 which was just short of eleven thousand so there was a good 500 RPM difference of spin and that's quite substantial that's quite a big difference PK I wasn't seeing a jot of difference they were both peak hiding exactly the same so I see no difference in height so the only thing that had there was the pro v1x was the higher spin golf ball from 100 yards and that was that was across every single shot not just the three that I picked out every shot spun higher we move now back into the 7 irons I've hit in full seven eyes this was the ping I 200 brand new again never almost never been hit apart from the review that I did so what I didn't see fresh grooves again we're going to look at two numbers we're going to look at peek we're going to look at spin rates the same colors happening again probably one is red Pro v1x is blue and let's look at the top lines first and we can definitely see the pearly one went higher I was finding a higher ball fight with the pro v1 as opposed to probe ewoks probably one X came out lower not much lower but low enough spin rates the probably one X had it again but only just this time only a hundred odd rpm which isn't a lot it's not a lot at all at ball speed was exactly the same carry distance was the same and you can see that I tried to do it in exactly the same hitting environment so those shots that's all the club data they are so much stuff it's unreal they are so closely matched it is unreal the thing I was just finding is the pro v1x definitely had a higher peak flight in fact let's see what actually the peak height number was on those ones that we just pulled that number up peak height with the pro v1 was peak heights when we're looking peak 38 yards up in the air where the pro v1 has 36 yards up in the air so a two-yard how different again it's not a lot but it's enough maybe to sacrifice that slightly less spin number now the club that I would never really test balls on is the driver only because you don't really see a great deal of difference between balls on a driver it's not much at all we're going to see a couple of numbers we're going to see spin rate again with these two golf balls peak height and ball speed potentially because that's something that's really changed here with these two golf balls yeah I wouldn't I would never read the spin numbers in a driver shot because it's so minimal it's untrue and we see that the spin numbers are almost identical probably 1 X actually despite the spun last but we're talking next and nothing not even measurable not even worth talking about carry distances we can see similar these again three shots out the five that I hit carry distance was a 282 for the probably one and two eight four for the pro v1x nothing but the one thing I did notice is the probably one that X definitely had a lower all flight considerably lower and a much faster ball speed the ball speed was at four miles per hour and the height was much much less and we look at the club day two that the core data is identical the club dates even a strike there's a tiny tiny bit of difference we're talking next to nothing that's very interesting the ball speed of the pro v1x came out faster which was probably all next now faster and I was getting slightly less height so that might be something that some players will look into whether that lower flight and the ball coming out faster is going to be beneficial to some players you can see that is not next to no difference so that was very interesting I found that just to summarize those numbers the pro v1x had more spin on the hundred-yard shot have slightly more spin on the seven iron shots and no difference in spin on the drivers the pro v1 have much higher ball flight on the seven iron and the and the driver shots but wasn't as Spinney of the pro v1x the pro v1x I was getting more spin from generally not on the drive so much was no difference probably x4 miles per hour faster off the ball speed from what the testing I did and they would hit exactly the same club head speed that's quite a substantial difference and protonix was lower flighted so I did then added a durability test after I hit both these golf balls for the durability of that whole test and then carried out another ten shots with a full sand wedge now I'm gg2 just off the side of the mine you can see there hey ten full shots with a sand wedge to see what the durability was like to see how long these golf balls was last year because they're expensive I was mightily impressed there's scuffing yes there is definite obvious scuffing you can see up on the screen there but after so how many shots ups the 5 10 15 25 shots hit hard hit into an act which isn't probably you know the screen I'm hitting into in here hitting it with brand-new golf clubs with sharpening sharp grooves on the wedge on the 7-iron that's not bad but it has got this visible scuffing I wouldn't use that golf ball in competitive play after that many shots same with the pro v1x exactly the same I was seeing the same scuffing because again the colors are identical I was in exactly the same cut sort of scuffing now clearly golf balls up I've always watched say this so once I did earlier we see Pro we want probably what I believe is a three cup of golf ball it's got the outer color it's got the slightly in the cover and in the middle core which is more of a solid core I don't know what that means I just thought I'd show you probably on X is for peace you see the outer cover inner cover then you've got an inner core and then you've got a center core and that's helping I guess with more spin rate I would the only reason that why it would be more spinning I don't know enough about golf ball cause to be able to tell you enough information about that but I like to see inside the golf balls anyway just because we don't get to see it asked them so interesting there's probably one in the pro v1x if I read all the information on these boxes it just every single golf box says the same it's ridiculous every golf box says longer-distance lower spin bloody blah blahdy blah the boxes are useless forget that if you're going to test golf balls testing yourself and you've got to test them on the putting green first and then work your way back go putting green to get the field go chip shots pit shots and then if you have the looks you've been able to hit the actual golf ball on the gt2 and get some numbers off the data brilliant that big that'd be amazing but really you can test the golf ball just on the softness in the field what you're after that then that is individual for everybody that's watching this video the same feelings I got here the soft me off the posters are quiet sound off the putter might not be the same feelings and descriptions you would get if you tested this golf ball so I've got loads more golf ball testing coming soon and that was the probably one how they're seen it is number one golf ball in golf I think tirelessly the brand is the probably highest selling golf ball in golf but companies are catching up companies the caps got very fast as well there's lots of new golf balls out at the moment and they are fighting for this spot they want to replace for 4. Bridgestone E6 Soft Golf Balls
The E6 is famed for delivering incredibly low backspin on long shots.
Besides distance, another factor that the average golfer would have to contend with is the direction.
Hitting a ball further with no accuracy is a recipe for disaster. Not to mention how costly it will also become. This is a soft feeling ball that delivers great performance off the tee as well as on the green.
The Delta Dimple design ensures that your shots are smoother and straighter. This is largely credited to the reduction in air resistance that is brought about by the design. It has very low compression as well.
Visibility should never be neglected. Even the best players lose balls on the course. An average player will hit a few stray shots and risk losing the ball. The E6 comes in optic yellow colour, in addition to the white balls.
Having gotten the distance and direction on the ball. You will be pleased to note that there is a visibly softer landing on the green.

[Music] everybody welcome and rings with Golf Academy here again great to have you along with me today watching my videos much appreciate it and today we're talking balls golf balls to be precise and to be even more precise Bridgestone golf balls already put a review up little time ago on this one here which is the Bridgestone straight distance c6 soft in the orange packet great golf ball thought it was really good but the one I haven't compared it against yet is its brother or sister whatever way you want to come at it from which is the Bridgestone straight distance c6 speed so we've got ecig soft orange packet c6 speed in the sort of silvery white packet and I wanted to do a head-to-head comparison I wanted to see how D felt obviously there should be a difference in how they feel one saying soft one saying speed would we associate speed with something that feels a bit firmer quite possibly we'll find that out in a minute and did the numbers change much you know did the spin rates go up did I get more distance from one what was it like so I've done some numbers for you which we'll show you in a minute first thing which matters to a lot of people is how a golf ball feels some people do like the feel of a soft golf ball some people hate that and want something which feels a little bit firmer so that's where choosing a golf ball may be one of your first considerations how do you want the ball to feel Johnny to feel soft hard or summer in the middle now I have got a very scientific test to do here which is probably the least scientific test you could do but it kind of works for me I like to bounce a ball on the club face listen to the noise and I saw also can get the feel of the ball on the face as I'm bouncing is I'm not going to tell you which ones which here I'm going to bang this ball on the club face a few times Mike's here so it should pick up the noise let's have a listen got that second ball quite a difference in the noise there I'm pretty sure the mic will pick that up the first one was the speed ball okay I'm bouncing this on the clubface and it feels quite clicky it just feels harder you know this that's just the simplest way to put it and I move on to the soft and the difference in the feel is quite amazing you know this kind of feels spongy and soft and personally I like a soft feeling golf ball probably because I grew up as a as a young lad many years ago using a balata golf bought the old tour balata from Titleist which was as soft as a marshmallow and even if you if you scowled at it it would put a cut in it there were that soft these days with pro-v ones covers of change you know using different materials but I still kind of like a soft feeling ball but that's just a personal preference so that's the big thing is the difference in the noise and the feel the next thing I want to show you is what happened when I did some tests I did the test with my favorite iron at the moment which is the ping I 200 I've got it in a 7-iron I've got it fitted with the Pro Mode of shaft 105 in stiff and I hit a series of shots as always trying to get light for like strikes is virtually impossible as I always say on these tests you need a robot to really get a definitive light for light but I've done three swings of each where I feel it's a pretty fair comparison so should we get in the hitting area hit some shots and then we'll bring up the numbers yeah okay let's do it [Music] okay folks hitting complete as always super interesting results for me always fascinated just to do these light flight comparisons and see see what's what because you just just don't know until you try these things I'm surprised but let's share the results of you so starting with the soft as as always I'm trying to get comparative strikes here similar sort of Club speeds and I did manage to get that by and large there's always gonna be little discrepancies but it's a pretty close close one this so as I said seven ions were being hit here first three with the soft here's my carry distances 162 one five nine 162 given me average spin of just under 6500 now those numbers there stack up for me really well one six two one six ones about my average carry distance with this club okay golf ball felt really soft felt that the ball would stop on the green quite nicely moving on to the speed as you can see Club speeds were virtually identical give or take a tiny little bit launch angles average again very very similar so pretty fair so far but definite change in spin rate we saw here just under six five six nine twenty one so the spin rate has gone up thereby sort of you know four hundred revs or so highest one topping out at seven thousand one hundred from an 18-degree launch angle highest spin rate I got with the the software six thousand five hundred so it's quite surprised me there that the speed gave me a little bit more backspin as a result of that I did I lose any distance not really 160 158 160 so one six one average with the soft and one sixty with the speed so all in all pretty identical results really go to take a little bit of spin so which one's the best ball for you what you've got to go to try for me this wood ball down purely to feel do like the feel of the softball or do I like something slightly firmer a little bit click here that's your choice both really good golf balls I think the great value for money over here in the UK at the moment you know they're around somewhere between about 25 28 pounds something like that I don't know what they are in the states but the good value for money so there you go it's the Bridgestone it's the e6 soft and the e6 speed if you haven't tried this ball you're looking for something which is good performance but it's not going to break the bank strongly recommend that you
